June is PTSD Awareness Month. Not all wounds are visible, and not all healing happens quickly. This month is an invitation to grow in understanding— for ourselves and for the people around us. If you’re walking through trauma, or walking alongside someone who is, you don’t have to have all the answers. Sometimes the most important thing we can offer is steady, compassionate presence. 🫂

What if discipleship wasn’t occasional…
but woven into everyday life?

👥 What if communities were built on intentional growth, shared rhythms, and walking with Jesus—together? That kind of culture doesn’t happen by accident.

It’s formed.
And it’s practiced.

We’d love to invite you into both.

As we age, roles change.

What once defined us—work, responsibilities, care giving, productivity—can slowly shift or fall away. That transition often raises deeper questions: Who am I now? What still gives my life meaning?

From a Christian perspective, identity is not rooted in usefulness or stage of life, but in belonging to Christ. Aging invites not loss, but reorientation—learning again where our worth comes from and how God continues to shape us.

Our latest article reflects on aging, changing roles, and identity through a Christian lens.

This week, a group of individuals will be gathering in Georgia for Abide Week. This week will be spent focused on discipleship to Jesus.

Would you join us in praying over this week?

Pray:
• That participants would rest deeply in God’s love.
• That distractions would fall away.
• That they would notice God’s presence in both stillness and ordinary moments.
• That the week would bear fruit long after it ends.

Why does Mental Health Awareness Month exist?

Because mental health is part of caring for the whole person. Our mental and emotional well‑being impacts our relationships, decisions, resilience, and capacity to engage fully in life. Awareness invites us to learn, reflect, and steward this part of our health with greater intention.

Brain development can be understood as a process of four maturing stages: survival, emotional, attachment and cognitive. These stages hold a key to understanding both poor and healthy thought processes. In this episode of Breaking Bread, Dr. Kirby Reutter steps us through brain development, how trauma impacts it and how by God’s grace we can think healthier.
