Today, May 30th, is the feast day of Saint Joan of Arc, who "obeyed the voice of the Lord asking her to free her people and to restore faith for those in desolation" during what's known as the Hundred Years' War.

Since 1922, France has venerated Saint Joan of Arc as its Patroness.

April 29 is the feast day of Saint Catherine of Siena, the patron saint of Italy and co-patron saint of Europe.

According to Shrine of All Saints curator Fr. Dennis O'Neill, the relic pictured here is "the proximal head of her (probably right) humerus, the part that touched her shoulder blade. It was certified by Cardinal Antonio Vico, Vicar General of Rome on September 20, 1925, and was from the collection of Cardinal Marco Ce, Patriarch of Venice."
