Considering the size of the parish in Chicago, the Knanaya Catholics in Chicago bought a Jewish synagogue in Morton Grove on January 14, 2010 and converted it as a church. This is the second church of Knanaya Catholics in Chicago with the name St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parish, Chicago. The consecration of this church and its elevation as a parish with Rev. Abraham Mutholath as its first pastor, was held on July 18, 2010 by His Excellency Bishop Mar Jacob Angadiath. His Grace Mar Mathew Moolakkatt, Archbishop of Kottayam was the main celebrant of the First Mass offered in this Church immediately after the consecration. His Excellency Mar Joseph Pandarasseril, the Auxiliary Bishop of Kottayam was concelebrant and gave homily during the Holy Mass. This parish comprises of Knanaya Catholics living to the North of 90 Express Way in the state of Illinois and in the state of Wisconsin. The parish serves around 450 families. The parish church is located at 7800 W. Lyons St., Morton Grove, IL 60053. A Visitation Convent in Chicago was also established on July 18, 2010. The convent building at 7801 W. Maple St., in Morton Grove near St. Mary’s Church was blessed on the same day after the consecration of the St. Mary's Church in Morton Grove. Three sisters of the Visitation congregation live in this convent and help with the pastoral ministry of Sacred Heart and St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parishes in Chicago. Jose Illikunnumpurath was the first associate of both Sacred Heart and St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Parishes. Later Fr. Saji Pinarkayil served as the associate pastor. ചിക്കാഗോ സെന്റ് മേരീസിൽ വൈവിധ്യമാർന്ന പരിപാടികളോടെ പിതൃദിനം ആഘോഷിച്ചു

ചിക്കാഗോ : മോർട്ടൻ ഗ്രോവ് സെന്റ് മേരീസ് ക്നാനായ കത്തോലിക്ക ദേവാലയത്തിൽ ഈ വർഷത്തെ പിതൃദിനാഘോഷങ്ങൾ വൈവിധ്യമാർന്ന പരിപാടികളോടെ ആചരിച്ചു. ജൂൺ 21- ഞായറാഴ്ച രാവിലെ 10 മണിക്ക് നടന്ന പ്രധാന ദിവ്യബലിയിൽ കോട്ടയം അതിരൂപത മലങ്കര ഫൊറോനാ വികാരി ഫാ. റെന്നി കട്ടേൽ കാർമ്മികത്വം വഹിക്കുകയും വചന സന്ദേശം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്തു. തുടർന്ന് അലിയ കൈതമലയിൽ ഇടവകയിലെ കുട്ടികളെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ച് പിതൃദിനാശംസകൾ നേർന്നുകൊണ്ട് സംസാരിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് എല്ലാ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കുമായി പ്രത്യേക ആശീർവാദപ്രാർത്ഥന നടത്തി. രാവിലെയും വൈകുന്നേരവും നടന്ന വിശുദ്ധ കുർബാനക്കും പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കുള്ള പ്രത്യേക ആശീർവാദത്തിനും വികാരി ഫാ. സിജു മുടക്കോടിൽ, അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് വികാരി ഫാ. അനീഷ് മാവേലിപുത്തൻപുരയിൽ എന്നിവർ കാർമ്മികത്വം വഹിച്ചു. എല്ലാ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കും ഇടവകയുടെ പ്രത്യേക ഉപഹാരങ്ങൾ ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട വൈദികർ വിതരണം ചെയ്തു.
തുടർന്ന് വുമൺ മിനിസ്ട്രിയയുടെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ പിതൃദിനാഘോഷങ്ങൾ നടന്നു. എല്ലാവർക്കുമായി രസകരമായ വിവിധ മത്സരങ്ങൾ നടത്തപ്പെട്ടു. വിവിധ മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ ജോണിക്കുട്ടി പിള്ളവീട്ടിൽ, ജോമോൻ ചാലുങ്കൽ, ബിജു വാക്കേൽ എന്നിവർ ഒന്നാം സമ്മാനം നേടി. വൈവിധ്യമാർന്ന ഈ പരിപാടികൾ വുമൺ മിനിസ്ട്രി കോർഡിനേറ്റർമാരായ ജയ കുളങ്ങര, റെജിമോൾ വല്ലൂർ, ലിസി മുല്ലപ്പള്ളി, ബേബി സണ്ണി മേനമറ്റത്തിൽ, റീന പണയപറമ്പിൽ എന്നിവർ നിയന്ത്രിച്ചു. ഇടവകയുടെ ഈ വർഷത്തെ പിതൃദിനാഘോഷത്തിന്റെ മൊത്തത്തിലുള്ള ക്രമീകരണങ്ങൾക്ക് കൈക്കാരന്മാരായ സേവ്യർ നടുപ്പറമ്പിൽ, സണ്ണി കണ്ണാല, ജോബി പോളക്കൽ, മജോ കുന്നശ്ശേരി, ഫെലിക്സ് പാലകൻ, സെക്രട്ടറി സണ്ണി മേലേടം, പി.ആർ.ഓ റോയി ചേലമലയിൽ, സി.ശാലോം, സി. ജെസീന എന്നിവർ നേതൃത്വം നൽകി.

Father’s Day Celebrated with Various Programs at St. Mary’s Chicago

Chicago: Father’s Day was celebrated at St. Mary’s Knanaya Catholic Church with a variety of meaningful and enjoyable programs.

The main Holy Mass was held on Sunday, June 21, at 10:00 AM. Kottayam Aarchdiocese Malankara forane vicar. Fr. Renny Kattel served as the main celebrant and delivered the homily. Following the Mass, Aliah Kaithamalayil, representing the children of the parish, offered Father’s Day greetings and spoke in honor of all fathers. A special prayer of blessing was then offered for all fathers. The morning and evening Holy Masses, along with the special blessings for fathers, were led by parish vicar Fr. Siju Mudakkodil and assistant vicar Fr. Aneesh Maveliputhenpurayil. Special gifts from the parish were distributed to all fathers by the priests.

Following this, the Father’s Day celebrations continued under the leadership of the Women’s Ministry. Several fun and engaging competitions were organized for everyone. Johnikkutty Pillaveettil, Jomon Chalunkal, and Biju Vakkel won first prizes in various competitions. This entertaining event was coordinated by Women’s Ministry coordinators Jaya Kulangara, Regimol Valloor, Lissy Mullappally, Baby Sunny Menamattathil, and Reena Panayaparambil.

The overall arrangements for this year’s Father’s Day celebration were led by trustees Xavier Naduparambil, Sunny Kannala, Joby Polakkal, Majo Kunnassery, and Felix Palakan, along with secretary Sunny Meledam, PRO Roy Chelamalayil, Sr. Shalom, and Sr. Jessina.

ചിക്കാഗോ: ചിക്കാഗോയിലെ സെന്റ് മേരീസ് ക്നാനായ കത്തോലിക്കാ ദേവാലയത്തിലെ CML (Cherupushpa mission League) യൂണിറ്റിന്റെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ മാതൃദിനാഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച “My Mom, My Blessing” പോസ്റ്റർ മത്സരത്തിലെ വിജയികൾക്കും പങ്കെടുത്തവർക്കും ജൂൺ 14-ന് ഞായറാഴ്ച രാവിലെ 10.00-ന് നടന്ന ദിവ്യബലിക്കുശേഷം സമ്മാനങ്ങൾ വിതരണം ചെയ്തു.

അമ്മയോടുള്ള സ്നേഹവും ആദരവും കലാസൃഷ്ടികളിലൂടെ പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കാൻ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് അവസരമൊരുക്കിയ ഈ മത്സരം മികച്ച പ്രതികരണമാണ് നേടിയത്. വിവിധ വിഭാഗങ്ങളിലായി 55-ഓളം കുട്ടികൾ പങ്കെടുത്ത മത്സരത്തിൽ, എല്ലാ കുട്ടികളുടെയും സർഗാത്മകതയും പരിശ്രമവും മാതൃസ്നേഹത്തോടുള്ള ആദരവും പ്രതിഫലിപ്പിക്കുന്ന സൃഷ്ടികൾ ഏറെ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായിരുന്നുവെന്ന് സംഘാടകർ അറിയിച്ചു.

മത്സരത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത എല്ലാ കുട്ടികളോടും നന്ദി അറിയിച്ച CML യൂണിറ്റ് വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് അബിഗയിൽ കണ്ടച്ചാൻപറമ്പിൽ, പരിപാടി വിജയകരമാക്കുന്നതിൽ സഹകരിച്ച മാതാപിതാക്കളെയും മത്സരത്തിനുള്ള സമ്മാനങ്ങൾ സ്പോൺസർ ചെയ്ത ഡോളി ആന്റിയെയും അനിഷ ആന്റിയെയും പ്രത്യേകം നന്ദിപൂർവം അനുസ്മരിച്ചു.

CML സ്പിരിച്വൽ ഡയറക്ടറായ ഫാ. അനീഷ് മാവേലി പുത്തൻപുരയുടെ സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ,ഹ്രസ്വ സന്ദർശനത്തിന് അമേരിക്കയിൽ എത്തിയ ആഗ്ര മിഷനിൽ സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്ന ഫാദർ സുനിൽ കുഴിപറമ്പിൽ വിജയികൾക്കും പങ്കെടുത്തവർക്കും സമ്മാനങ്ങൾ വിതരണം ചെയ്തു. വിജയികളുടെ പേരുകൾ CML എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് അംഗം അബിഗയിൽ കണ്ടച്ചാൻപറമ്പിൽ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.

കുട്ടികളിലെ കലാപരമായ കഴിവുകൾ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും മാതൃദിനത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം പുതുതലമുറയ്ക്ക് പകർന്നു നൽകുന്നതിനും ഇത്തരം പരിപാടികൾ ഏറെ പ്രയോജനകരമാണെന്ന് ഇടവക വികാരി ഫാദർ സിജു മുടക്കോടിൽ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു മത്സരങ്ങൾ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് ആവശ്യമായ മാർഗ്ഗനിർദേശങ്ങൾ നൽകുന്നതിലും പരിപാടികൾ ഏകോപിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും യൂണിറ്റ് ഡയറക്ടേഴ്സ് ആയ ജോജോ ആനാലിൽ ബിബി നെടുംതുരുത്തി പുത്തൻപുരയിൽ സൂര്യ കരികുളം എന്നിവർ ആത്മാർത്ഥമായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു .
