🌟 FRATERNAL YEAR 2025-2026 IN REVIEW 🌟
As the 2025-2026 Fraternal Year comes to a close on June 30, the Knights of Columbus Father Joseph D. Gallagher Council 3673 wants to look back and celebrate an incredible year of charity, unity, and community service at Holy Trinity Parish and School. Through the grace of God and the dedication of our community, we have been able to make a lasting impact. Here is a look at what we accomplished together this year:
✝️ FAITH IN ACTION & SACRAMENTAL SERVICE
Word of God & Education: We were blessed to host our annual Bible presentation, gifting beautiful Bibles to the level 7 PREP students and 8th-grade students at Holy Trinity School. We also extended this gift to our OCIA class, where many of our Knights proudly served as guest speakers throughout their journey into the Church.
Devotion & Prayer: Our continuous Rosary Series took place throughout the entire year, keeping our community rooted in prayer. During Lent, we also hosted the Stations of the Cross to guide our parish in reflection.
Lenten Preparation: The weekend before Ash Wednesday, the Council distributed its annual Guide to Reconciliation, providing parishioners with an examination of conscience, FAQs, and local confession schedules. Check out the resources at holytrinitykoc.com/guide-to-reconciliation.
Parish Anchors: Our Knights dedicated hundreds of service hours as ushers and greeters, welcoming families to weekly Saturday Vigil and Sunday Masses, as well as special parish sacraments like First Holy Communion and Confirmation.
🎓 CELEBRATING OUR YOUTH & PARISH SCHOOL
Graduation Honors: We were proud to provide greeting and ushering services for the Holy Trinity Graduation. During the ceremony, we presented the Shawn R. Meisels Faith and Action Award, sponsored by the Council, honoring students who truly lives out their faith.
Investing in Education: Thanks to our annual Monte Carlo Knight, we donated nearly $1,500 back to the parish, PREP program, and Holy Trinity School! These proceeds funded a brand-new Lectionary for the parish, instructional books for the PREP program, and supported Holy Trinity School's ongoing Saints Curriculum program.
Supporting Student Experiences:
We were thrilled to provide a $500 donation to Holy Trinity Parishioners from Conwell-Egan Catholic High School who attended the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in Indianapolis!
The Council also donated $250 to sponsor Monsignor Eckert in the Holy Trinity School Race for Education.
We donated our world-famous "Basket of Cheer" to the Holy Trinity School Tricky Tray event to help boost their fundraising efforts.
Youth Activities: We kept our youth active and engaged through the annual Soccer Challenge, the Free Throw Championships, and the Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest!
🌾 BINDING THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER
Food Pantry Support: The Council stood side-by-side with the Holy Trinity Food Pantry, providing critical hands-on assistance to distribute meals to local families at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.
Letter Carrier Food Drive: In May 2026, our Knights rolled up their sleeves for the annual Letter Carrier Food Drive, helping to collect and sort a massive 31,000 lbs of food for those in need!
CYO Santa Breakfast: Our Knights helped the CYO raise money by volunteering our time to cook and serve a delicious meal at their annual Christmas event.
Girl Scout Silver Award: We proudly provided a $500 donation to a parishioner's Girl Scout Silver Award project, which created a beautiful children's corner in the back of the church, accompanied by a special "Mass in Slow Motion" hosted with Monsignor Eckert.
Breakfast with the Bunny: Our Spring Breakfast was a joyful success! Thanks to the "Bunny Bakery," the Council made a $1,000 donation to the Rising Together Alliance to support their wonderful mission. Since 2024, the Council has now donated a total of $3,000 to this incredible organization!
Baby Bottle Drive: Our community showed overwhelming generosity during our annual Baby Bottle Drive, bringing this year's total raised for the Legacy of Life Foundation to nearly $3,000! Since 2022, our Council has helped raise nearly $20,000 for the foundation through these drives to protect the unborn.
The Council supported a family in need at Christmas with a donation of more than $1,000 through the Barkann Family Healing Hearts Foundation.
🎥 CONNECTED VIRTUALLY
For those unable to join us in person, the Council continued to maintain our parish connection by providing live streams on our YouTube channel for milestone events, including the Holy Trinity School 21st Century Program Mock Trial and Monsignor Eckert’s farewell Mass.
⚔️ GROWING IN FRATERNITY
Our brotherhood continues to strengthen! This year, we proudly welcomed 6 new members to our Council and celebrated 3 new Sir Knights advancing to the Fourth Degree.
🤝 THANK YOU!
None of this would be possible without the tireless dedication of our Brother Knights and their families who selflessly gave their time, talent, and treasure. We also extend our deepest gratitude to all of our Holy Trinity parishioners whose unwavering support allows Council 3673 to thrive.
