In Messiah, Jews and Gentiles are many parts, but One Body. Paul then relates how both are given gifts and must serve God together for the glory of God and the advancement of the Kingdom. In order for them to work together and Live in harmony with one another, he charges all that "so far as it depends on you, live in shalom with all people." All congregations would be strengthened if all the Redeemed had this heart.

Since the call of Abraham, the Enemy has worked hard to foment hatred between what came to be known as Jew & Gentile. And we have fallen into that trap for millennia in part because both sides think more highly of themselves than they ought (12:3). But it was not supposed to be like this. From the Exodus, God's Nation was made up of a mixed multitude. In the first century, Jew & Gentile met together in the Synagogue--there was no other place to honor the Shabbat and hear the Torah read as Acts 15 directs. In the Kingdom of Messiah--the two will be One. So why are we not today? Why do we continue to abide by decisions made to keep us apart, rather than bring us together?

God's Mercy and the Future Messianic Kingdom should remain at the forefront of the mind of the believer. When Jew & Gentile enter together into the presence of the King in true worship. This reality and future should change the way we live as we await that day. We should be Living Sacrifices--dedicated to God. Like Yeshua, like Isaac. We should not be demanding our own way, our rights or recognition. Instead serving others and realizing that the true enemy is not our fellow believers, not "the Jews" but the enemy who wants to keep us apart.
