Good Morning, this is Sunday, September 6.

Our Scripture for today comes from John, chapter 14, verse 23 - "Jesus replied, 'If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.'" As we love God and obey Jesus' commandments, our relationship, closeness, and experience of God's presence as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, deepens because they live inside us-make their home with us. Obeying Jesus' teaching is our pathway to a closer walk with God.

We say "Happy Birthday" today to Mr. Monty Childers! We appreciate all Monty does with the praise team and being our prayer warrior!

Today is an exciting day at Covenant! We have our second year of babies being dedicated today. God is growing the Church with new little souls. The baby dedication will be at the beginning of the Celebration service at 10:30am. Sunday School/small groups begins at 9:30am and there is a place for everyone.
At 2pm today we will minister at the McMinnville Boarding Home. The residents there are so appreciative when we go to visit them. If you have never been to the Boarding Home, please come and spend a few minutes with them.

We have a few unspoken prayer requests so let's come to church with a prayer this morning. Please pray for Kathy Walker as she recovers from a knee replacement.

We pray that you have a safe and restful Labor Day tomorrow and begin to get ready for Fair season!

Good Morning, this is Saturday, September 5.

Our Scripture for today comes from Matthew, chapter 28, verses 18 -20, also known as the Great Commission - "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Last words matter! Our last words are chosen with care because we know they leave a lasting impact on those who hear. Jesus' last words are our authoritative marching orders for us as His disciples. This is the will of Jesus, our Lord.

Tomorrow will be another exciting day at Covenant! We will have another Baby Dedication and we expect a crowd of families. Sunday School/small groups begin at 9:39am and there is a place for everyone. The Celebration service will begin at 10:30am and will feature our dedication service at that time. There will be Children's Church following the Dedication service.

We will minister at the McMinnville Boarding Home at 2pm tomorrow. If you have never been to the Boarding Home we welcome you to minister to the residents there. Your will be blessed!

I'm sorry that I have been unable to do the message this week due to Brad's surgery. He is much better and we appreciate the prayers. We also have an unspoken request today!

We pray that you have a great weekend and we hope to see you tomorrow!

Good Morning, this is Wednesday, September 2.

Our Scripture for today comes from Psalm 119, verse 64 - "The earth is filled with your love, O Lord; teach me your decrees." Let's not only worship God in awe for His majestic creation; Let's also worship Him by learning His will and living it in our daily lives.

We will have our fellowship dinner tonight at 6pm. This is one way we can get to know our church family. Just bring a covered dish or finger foods and eat with us tonight. Bible study for all ages will follow at 7pm. We hope to see you tonight!

We ask that you pray for Brad today as he has surgery this morning. I also have a special friend who fell yesterday and broke her leg. She would appreciate your prayers.

We pray that you have a blessed day!

Good Morning, this is Tuesday, September 1.

Our verse of the day comes from Proverbs, chapter 22, verse 6 - "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Children don't just need to be taught facts, truth, and school subjects; they need to be trained and prepared for life in the grace of God, the way of Jesus, and the leading of the Holy Spirit. This training should come from their parents and other faithful adults in their lives. Let's recommit to training up children and living as examples before them so that they will follow the way of God their whole lives.

It is September, can you believe it? We are preparing for the fair beginning next Friday, the 11th. If you have a new family or individual picture you would like displayed on the family board, please send it to me. One of our ministries will be highlighted each evening so if you have anything to contribute, we would love to
have it.

Remember that we are gathering items for TCAT this month. Please see the list on the table in the foyer.

This next Sunday will be Baby Dedication Sunday. We have room for more but we need to know by Friday.

Please keep praying for Anna Morgan's family as the funeral of her brother is today. Also Brad Gross will be having surgery tomorrow and we ask that you pray for him.

We pray that you have a blessed day!

Good Morning, this is Monday, August 31.

Our Scripture for today comes from Psalm 95, verses 6 and 7 - "Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care." Worship is more than our hearts, souls, and words offered to God. We come to Him, a conquering ruler, offering ourselves in full submission.

The men's jail ministry meets tonight at 5pm. Please be in prayer for them.

Thanks to all who gave their testimonies yesterday and those who came to support them. It was a great service! Know that you are always welcome!

If you want to participate in the baby dedication scheduled for Sunday, please let us know as soon as possible so we can prepare gifts for the babies and families.

Remember to pray for Anna Morgan's family in the loss of her brother. Visitation is today in Spencer and the funeral is tomorrow at 2pm. We will be taking the van today at 3pm and tomorrow at noon. Please let us know if you want to go.

Have a blessed day!

Good Morning, this is Sunday, August 30.

Our Scripture for today comes from Ephesians, chapter 2, verse 19 - "You are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and member of God's household." To be a part of God's family is a gift. The Holy One who spoke into existence the universe has given us grace to be adopted into His family. Being part of God's people, God's household, is simply a gift from the One who knows how to share grace in ways we can't even imagine.

Today is an exciting and special day! We will have Sunday School/small groups at 9:30am and a special Celebration at 10:30am featuring testimonies from the Recovery God's Way and the men and women's jail ministries. It is also Youth Sunday and the youth group will be singing with the Praise Team and receiving the offering this morning. Tonight will be a special Men's Service with a cookout at 5pm and a service to follow. It is going to be a great day and you don't want to miss it! We hope to see you at church this morning!

Please remember to pray for Anna Morgan's family in their loss of her brother. Visitation will be at Layne Funeral Home in Spencer tomorrow beginning at 10am. If you would like to go, please let us know and we can take the van. The funeral will be on Tuesday at 2pm.

Have a blessed Lord's Day!

Hello, this is Saturday, August 29.

Our Scripture for today comes from Galatians, chapter 3, verse 28. "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." There are no positions of superiority or inferiority at the food of the cross; only a place for those who discover God's might displayed in sacrifice and God's love displayed even when under attack at the hands of human cruelty. In Jesus, and only in Jesus, we can all be truly one.

We say "Happy Birthday" to day to a very special lady and friend, Ms. Claudia Jordan!

Tomorrow will be an exciting day here at Covenant. It is Youth Sunday and our youth will be participating in the service. Also our Recovery God's Way ministry and our jail ministry will present testimonies at the 10:30 service. We will have Sunday School at 9:30am and the Celebration service at 10:30am. There will be Children Church during that service . There is a place for everyone! There will also be a special Men's ministry service tomorrow evening. They will have a cookout at 5pm with a service to follow. All men are encouraged to attend!

Please bring someone with you tomorrow!

We pray that you have a wonderfully restful weekend!

08/28/2026

Hello, this is Friday, August 28.

Our Scripture for today comes from John chapter 6, verse 29 -"Jesus answered, 'The work of God is this: To believe in the one He has sent ." God loves us, and He showed that love by sending Jesus to live among us, to die for us, and to be raised from the dead so that we could be raised from death, too. We may be uncertain about many specific details of complex doctrinal issues but the work of God we need is to genuinely "believe in the one He has sent."

We will minister at NHC today at 2pm. Please come out and join us and share with the residents there.

We pray that you are preparing to worship with us on Sunday. Sunday School begins at 9:30am and the Celebration service at 10:30am. Usually we do not have Children's Church on the 5th Sunday but due to a special presentation by Recovery God's Way and the jail ministry we will have Children's Church this week. It is also Youth Sunday and they will be participating in the service. Sunday night the Men's Ministry will have a cookout at 5pm and a service to follow. All men are invited and encouraged to attend.

If you know someone who has a child under 2 years old who would like to participate in the baby dedication which will be held on September 6th, please let us know by calling the office or see the sign up sheet on the table in the foyer.

We will begin a new project for the month of September. Tennessee College of Applied Technology is in need of food for their food supply closet at the school for those students who may not be able to buy lunch. Please see the flyer on the table for a list of needs. We did this project last year and they were so grateful!

Please pray for Anna Morgan's family as her brother passed away yesterday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete but we will let you know as soon as they are complete.

We pray that you have a great weekend!

08/27/2026

Good Morning, this is Thursday, August 27.

Our Scripture for today comes from Isaiah, chapter 26, verse 3 - "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." Christians have many of the same problems that unbelievers do because they share the same mortal flesh and live in the same broken world. We know that we will share in His victorious and glorious presence forever. We don't need to be anxious about the results when we rest our lives in the hands of our living and victorious Lord, in whom we trust!

The Women will minister at the jail this evening. Please pray for them.

Tomorrow we will minister at NHC at 2pm. Please come out and give and receive a great blessing!

Sunday will be a great day as it is Youth Sunday and we will also celebrate our jail and Recovery God's Way groups. There will be Children's Church during the 10:30am service. We look forward to seeing you this week!

Please pray for Anna Morgan's family as her brother passed away. We will let you know as soon as arrangements are made.

We pray that you have a blessed day!

08/26/2026

Good Morning, this is Wednesday, August 26.

Our Scripture for today comes from Romans chapter 12, verses 4 and 5 - "Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." Three key realities of our discipleship are belonging, usefulness, and connectedness. We belong to Jesus' body, the Church. We each have a place and a purpose for the Church to function as Jesus' bodily presence in our world today. Let's rejoice in each other, support each other, and do our part in helping the world see Jesus!

We will have our fellowship dinner tonight at 6pm. Just bring a covered dish or finger food and eat with us tonight. This is how we get to know each other. Bible study for all ages will follow at 7pm. We hope to see you tonight!

The women will be going to the jail tomorrow night. Be in prayer for them as this is a stressful ministry.

We will minister at NHC on Friday at 2pm. If you are not working or going to school, please come by and bless someone. In return you will receive your blessing and God will reward you.

We will have a Baby Dedication on Sunday, September 6 at the 10:30am service. If you have a child who has not been dedicated and you would like to participate in this dedication, please sign up on the sheet in the foyer by this Sunday so we can prepare the gifts given to the child and family.

The Mens Ministry will have a cookout and service on this Sunday night the 30th beginning at 5pm. All men are welcome to bring their friends.

We pray that you have a blessed day!
