Good Morning, this is Thursday, July 4.

Today's Scripture comes from I Chronicles, chapter 29, verse 11 -" Yours, O Lord is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; You are exalted as head over all." Praise is the direct address of God that lets Him know we recognize Him for who He is, what He has done, and what He is doing. But more than informing God of His greatness, praise is rejoicing before Him in His greatness, while recognizing that not only is His grace without comparison, His majesty and might, holiness and faithfulness and righteousness and mercy and love and forgiveness and justice...are all without comparison.

We say "Happy Birthday" today to 1 year old, Mr. Weston Barrett Bassett! We have more 1- year- olds to come this week!

Please pray for Bro. Mike and Jessica as they travel this week. Also Viola has a friend who is in need of prayer. Continue to remember the unspoken requests.

We pray that you have a blessed day!

Good Morning, this is Wednesday, June 3.

Today's verse comes from Proverbs, chapter 15, verse 3 - "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Often, the problems we have with others in an argument escalate because we do not choose "a gentle answer." We lose sight of saying what is in "the interests of others" and poison our influence on others
because of our selfish, "I"-infected speech.

We pray that you are planning to be with us tonight for our mid-week service. We will have our fellowship meal at 6pm. Bring a covered dish or finger food and eat and fellowship with us. The Men's Ministry will also meet at 6pm. Following will be Bible Study for all ages at 7pm. We look forward to seeing you tonight.

We have a couple of unspoken prayer requests this morning so remember to pray for those and our church today!

We pray that you have a blessed day!

Good Morning, this is Tuesday, June 2.

Today's verse comes from Hebrews, chapter 9, verse 28 - "Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and He ill appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him." Ours is not a passive wait. Jesus gave us a commission to take His story to the whole world and invite others to prepare and join with us in awaiting His glorious return.

We say "Happy Birthday" to day to Ms. Emily Wade.

Recovery God's Way meets tonight at 6pm.

We had such a great time of fellowship and laughter on Sunday night playing Bible trivia. It is so much fun to get to know our church family. Come tomorrow night to our fellowship dinner at6pm. Bring a covered dish or finger food. We will have Bible study for all ages at7pm. Bro. Dean will be teaching in the adult class as Bro. Mike and Ms. Jessica minister at the Morrison Housing Authority. Please pray for Ms. Jessica's Dad who is ill and for their ministry there.

We pray that you have a blessed day!

Good Morning, this is Monday, June 1st.

Today's verse comes from Revelation, chapter 21, verses 2-4 - "I saw the Holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God prepared as a bride, beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.'" The end of tears, death, mourning, crying, violence, abuse, divisive politics, and pain sounds good. No wonder the early Christians would say, "Marantha, Come, O Lord."

June will be a busy month for us all. Every week someone will be on vacation so others of us will need to take their places in the body. Mission Adventure Week (or Service Week) is coming soon along with preparing for VBS. Please be praying for God's plan for your service. Also Father's Day is this month, so prepare to spend time with your Dad.

Continue to pray for Dale and Lisa's granddaughter who was in a wreck last week. She is improving. If you have prayer requests, please leave them in the comments.

Good Morning, this is Sunday, May 31st.

Today's verse comes from I Thessalonians, chapter 4, verses 16-17 - "The Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. And after that we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." most of what we have in this world falls apart, breaks, or wears out quickly. But we have three things that last forever: God (Father Son, and Spirit), our Christian friends, and our praise of God. These are eternal!

We are preparing for a great day today! We have Sunday School/small groups at 9:30am this morning and there is a place for everyone! The Celebration Service begins at 10:30am. There will not be Children's Church today because it is the 5th Sunday. We refer to these days as Family Worship Day as the children are hearing and observing more than we think! Tonight will be a special night at 6pm as we will play Bible trivia with teams for children, youth, and adults! Please bring finger foods. We plan for friendly competition!

Immediately after the service today, we will have a Baby Sprinkle for the Whitlocks.

We pray that you have a blessed Lord's Day!

Hello, this is Saturday, May 30th.

Our Scripture for today comes from Psalm 56, verse 4- "In God, whose word I praise- in God I trust, and I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?" We remember that it is God in whom we put our trust! His enduring presence across cultures, centuries and countries remind us that eternity is beyond our grasp.

We say "Happy Birthday" to a fine young man today, Mr. Sawyer Kell!

We pray that you are preparing to come to worship tomorrow! Sunday School/small groups begin at 9:30am and the Celebration Service at 10:30am. There will not be Children's Church tomorrow because it is the 5th Sunday. Please bring an activity for your children during the Worship Service and worship together as a family! Tomorrow night will be an exciting night! We plan to play Bible Trivia with a children's team, a youth team, and an adult team or two. Please bring finger foods. It should be a great time of fellowship and fun!

Be blessed this weekend!

Good Morning, this is Friday, May 29th.

Our Scripture for today comes from Psalm 103, verse 17-18 - "Bur from everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with their children's children-with those who keep His covenant and remember to obey His precepts." We can tap into that reservoir of eternal and divine love through the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus pours into our hearts to help us both receive that kind of forever love and share it with others.

Darlene's surgery was a success and she is resting at home. Thanks for the prayers. Continue to pray as she recovers.

Don't forget that Sunday evening will be a special 4th Sunday night fellowship. We will have a Bible Trivia tournament with teams of children, youth, and adults. It will be fun for all. More information will be shared on Sunday morning. There will also be a Baby Sprinkle for the Whitlocks on Sunday after the Celebration Service.

We pray that you have a blessed day!

05/28/2026

Good Morning, this is Thursday, May 28th.

Our Scripture for today comes from Romans, chapter 12, verse 15 - "Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." We are not alone. God promised that He would never leave us or forsake us. He has given us Jesus' family to find support and share our joys. Along the way, we want to share each other's burdens and soar on each other's joys. We want to love each other through our hurts and mourn with each other through our grief. We demonstrate our love for Jesus by the ways we love each other and demonstrate that love in clear, practical ways of being with them, serving them and sharing in their joys and sorrows.

We say "Happy Birthday" to a very special lady today, Ms. Arianna Michael! We are so glad that she is home from college to help us with VBS and other projects through the summer!

We had a short Shepherd and Workshop Leader Training last night so we will not need to meet tonight. We are gearing up to VBS and we know it is going to be exciting! If you would like to help with VBS please let us know where you would like to serve.

Darlene Smith is having shoulder surgery today. Please remember her in prayer today and continue to remember Paige Northcutt in prayer as well. Please let us know if you have a prayer request, spoken or unspoken.

We pray that you have a blessed day!

05/27/2026

Hello, this is Wednesday, May 27th.

Our Scripture for today comes from Acts, chapter 20, verse 24 -"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given to me-the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace." How important is grace? Paul said that sharing the good news of God's grace was more important to him than his life! In fact, that was his life after his conversion to Jesus.

We will have our fellowship dinner this evening at 6pm. Come and bring a covered dish or finger foods and get to know your church family. Our Men also have Bible study at 6pm. All men are welcome and encouraged to attend. Following dinner we will have Bible study for all ages at 7pm. If you are scheduled as a Workshop Leader for June or a Shepherd, please bring your folder tonight because some changes must be made to the schedule. We will have a brief meeting at 6:30. The meeting scheduled for tomorrow night will be postponed until next Thursday, June 4th at 6:30pm.

Several people are having surgery and need our prayers. Darlene will have shoulder surgery tomorrow. Dale and Lisa's granddaughter is having surgery today due to injuries suffered in a wreck. Others are planning for surgery later. Please remember these prayer requests.

We hope to see you tonight and pray that you have a peaceful and blessed day!

05/26/2026

Good Morning, this is Tuesday, May 26th.

Our Scripture for today comes from John , chapter 3, verse 17 - "God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." Is God too pious and holy to soil Himself with the concerns of mere mortals and has left it up to us to work everything out for ourselves including earning our salvation? NO!

We say "Happy Birthday" today to two special folks - Ms. Ali Fults and Mr. Zach Odom!

Recovery God's Way meets tonight at 6pm.

Tomorrow night we will have our fellowship meal at 6pm with Bible study for all ages to follow at 7pm. You will be blessed to get to know your church family!

Please remember to pray for Paige Northcutt this morning. Her surgery is complete and they are waiting to see her now. We will update further as we hear. Also remember to continue praying for Ms. Marilyn Cunningham. God knows the unspoken requests this morning.

We pray that you have a blessed day!
