A vessel of honor is characterized by its longevity. It is capable of being used repeatedly to fulfill purpose upon purpose.
Many vessels are used once and then discarded, while some serve only menial, single purposes before being thrown away. However, you and I are called to be vessels that remain in the Master’s hands, ready for continued use as needed.”
“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.”
