Meet "Juliets Perfect Chance" aka "Hershey". She is a 2014 model gorgeous black mare, registered Missouri Fox Trotter and stands a sturdy 14 hands. She has gorgeous black color and is 14 years of age. She has a kind personality, good ground manners and enjoys attention and grooming. Hershey has a smooth and natural four beat gait. She is well suited for someone who knows how to ride with confidence. Confidence is necessary as she is occasionally headstrong with a new rider. She is a fantastic trail mount with experience on many types of trails including rocky creeks, deep ravines, boggy areas, sand and loose footing. She has also climbed steep trails up and down, crossed wide open spaces and busted the brush. She is willing and tries very hard! She has been trail ridden alone and with other horses. She will lead, ride in the middle or at the rear. She is fine with country traffic and ATVs. She could be an exceptional 4H mount (for an experienced youth), endurance or competitive trail horse. She is currently barefoot. She will stand for the farrier or vet. She is comfortable tied overhead, to a hitching post, cross ties or trailer. She loads into a straight load, slant or stock trailer. She is up to date on vaccines and Coggins. Vet check available.

Week old Paso Fino filly "Della" is high on drama and low on patience when she decides it is time to nurse! Momma DeAnna is just trying to catch a little nap and rest from an active toddler..... with no help from Della! Della says, "Open the milk bar now! I need my late-night snack!" I never know what I will see on the stall cam.

"Laurel Highland Odin", aka "Paddington" the Fell Pony, is looking for a new home. His loving owner is forced to give him up for health reasons. He is currently at the Kentucky Horse Park as an ambassador for the Fell Pony breed. He stands a stocky 13 2 1/2 HH. He is available to view there for about another week and then will come to be with us in Morgantown, Kentucky until he finds a home. Paddington is a 2007 model and is in very good condition, health and soundness. He is friendly and a pleasure to have on the farm. He is a talented and well-trained driving horse and riding horse. He has had a lot of trail experience under saddle, on all types of trails. He also has experience in off road and on road driving in a buggy or cart. He is best suited for a confident rider as he can be forward when he is fresh. He also has experience in the show ring. He is a very well accomplished gelding! he has lovely ground manners. His Fell Pony Society papers are in hand. He is up to date on everything, and a vet exam is available. Come and meet him in Morgantown, Kentucky.

Meet DeWeese Farm’s Peter Pan! Peter Pan is a registered and certified Rocky Mountain gelding. Peter was born on September 9th, 2018. He stands 15.2HH. He has the best personality and loves to be pampered. Peter is a versatile, well trained and smooth gaited gelding. He is very friendly and enjoys spending time with his people. He is an excellent trail mount. He has been exposed to many types of trails including rocky creeks, deep ravines, boggy areas, sand and loose footing. He has also climbed steep trails up and down the river bluffs, crossed wide open spaces and busted the brush. He is so willing and tries very hard! He has been trail ridden alone and with other horses. He will lead, hang out in the middle or bring up the rear. Peter has had nearly a year of trail riding with us, including being trail leader for young horses just starting out. He is great with other horses on the trail. He has been exposed to country traffic and ATVs. he has also been ridden through busy town streets, a local restaurant drive-thru and fairgrounds. He has excellent ground manners! Peter has a beautiful gait and is consistent. He can go barefoot or be shod with regular shoes all the way around with no special shoeing requirements to attain his beautiful Rocky Mountain show gait.

Peter is best suited for an intermediate rider on the trail or a rider with basic skills in the arena under supervision. he has given lessons and participated in youth horse camp. He truly enjoys a rider who will talk to him and give him encouragement and praise.
His current owner is just not using him enough to justify keeping him when someone else could be enjoying his fun personality every day. They purchased Peter Pan as a 2 year old with sights on showing and trail riding him. Unfortunately, they have too many horses in the same division with not enough shows throughout the year to show him. Peter Pan has shown at a weekend National Mountain Horse show by a trainer and was shown by a juvenile rider at the 2023 Rocky Mountain Horse International winning a second place finish in the Youth 11 and under Show Pleasure Class.

Heartland Equine Rescue Friesian Cross gelding "Titan" had a spa day. Deanna spent a LONG time bathing, grooming and detangling today! We took some pictures to immortalize his moment of shining cleanliness. He is sure one handsome specimen of a horse 😍. And he does love the camera! He will be available for adoption once his saddle training is finished.
Heartland Equine Rescue does more than just rescue, rehab and rehome their intakes. There are quite a few intakes that end up staying at Heartland as they are not adoptable. When needed, Heartland invests in training for adoptable equines. They want to ensure that every horse or donkey has the absolute best chance of success in their new home. The current economic climate is very hard on all rescues.
Heartland Equine Rescue needs all the donations you can spare to keep these horses fed, vetted and get them into training. The ultimate goal is adoption to a forever home. Please help if you can, the horses thank you for their second chance and a new life. if you cannot donate... consider fostering or adoption. These equines give so much back.
