Today, Pastor Ethan brought us a powerful word from Acts 26, where we find Paul standing in a room and facing circumstances he did not choose. What a reminder that we may not always choose our circumstances, but we can choose how we respond to God in the middle of them!
Paul knew three important things:
✨ He knows who sent him. His calling came from Jesus.
✨ He knows what he has been sent to say. The message of the Gospel has not changed, and it is still the same message the world needs to hear today.
✨ He knows why the people in front of him matter. Even in difficult circumstances, Paul remained focused on sharing the truth of Jesus with others.
Paul’s circumstances didn’t change his calling! He was saved and sent, and so are we.
As we begin a new week, let’s ask ourselves:
💭 Am I being obedient to Jesus right where I am?
💭 Is Jesus really enough for me, even when obedience costs me something?
Following Jesus will not always be easy, and we may find ourselves in places we never expected. But when we remember who sent us and why we are here, we can remain faithful to the calling He has placed on our lives.
Even if it costs you, following Jesus is worth it! 🙏🏼💛

God has blessed our church with a wonderful heritage of faith, fellowship, and faithful service. As we look back and celebrate the people, memories, and milestones that have shaped our church, we are reminded of God's goodness and faithfulness through the years.

We have a great history to celebrate—and an exciting future ahead!

We are excited to welcome the Wilmington Celebration Choir to Mount Home Baptist Church on Sunday, October 18, at 10:30 a.m.! Come experience a wonderful morning of uplifting music, powerful worship, and encouragement as this talented choir shares the message of Jesus Christ through song. This will be a special opportunity to worship together and invite someone to join you. Bring your family, bring a friend, and come expecting to be blessed!

Dr. Eddy Bunton brought the message to us today from Acts 24. Paul stood before Felix and faced false accusations. Yet rather than being intimidated, Paul calmly gave his defense and boldly shared the truth of the Gospel.
