This morning, we prayed for Danny Marshall as he starts his career in ministry, worshipped together, shared communion, and heard Pastor Ethan continue his series in Acts.

We learned what it means to be labeled a Christian as Pastor Ethan preached from Acts 11. Being a Christian means being of Christ and belonging to Christ. When you are a Christian, you are no longer living for yourself; Jesus is living through you. Does your life clearly belong to Jesus? God does not expect perfection, but He does expect a changed direction with your eyes fixed on Him. Are we simply admiring Christianity, or have we been changed by a relationship with the Lord? When the world looks at us, they should see a life saturated with Jesus.

Today was Graduate Sunday at Mount Home. Pastor Dustin brought a message from Matthew 28:16-20 entitled, “Bold Mission: Sent to a World in Need”. Here, we see that the Disciples were ordinary men- not “spiritual superheroes”. They received their boldness from the Lord. We see 3 movements in this text: 1) Boldness comes when we recognize the Authority of Christ; 2) Boldness comes when we submit to the Command of Christ; 3) Boldness comes when we lean into the Presence of Christ. We learn from the Disciples that our faith is not meant to be private- we are called to go. God calls us to share the word, show the word, teach the word and serve the world. God will be with you every step of the way! Congratulations graduates! 🎓🎉
