YOUTH AND CHILDREN ACTIVITIES
---YOUTH SUMMER RECHARGE FELLOWSHIP NIGHTS. This summer, the youth group will be starting Recharge, a series of fun fellowship nights on Sunday evenings throughout the summer. These nights will include activities such as movie nights, pool parties, bonfires, cookouts, game nights, and more as a way for students to connect and build friendship. We are currently looking for church members and families who would be willing to host a Recharge night this summer. A Sign-up sheet will be available with suggested ideas or hosts may choose their own activity. Please see Lindsey Freeman for more information or to sign up.
***NOTE***: The first event will be Sunday, June 7, at 3 p.m.. This will be a POOL PARTY at the Berry's house. Remember to bring your towel! Please let Lindsey know if you plan to attend.
------FLAMINGOS GALORE FUNDRAISER Support the Youth! "Flamingo Flock" your friends' yards! This will be a lot of fun! Again this year, for a donation to the youth, the flamingos will nest in your friends' yard for 3-4 days! The flockings have started, so make sure to arrange your "reservation" on the youth's calendar! ($20--flock anyone of your choice in Morganton; $30--insurance for your home so you won't be flocked; $100--same day relocation plus insurance for future flockings). We hope you all can participate and have loads of flamingo fun with this fundraiser!
---KIDS CAMP SPONSORS NEEDED. Kids camp is around the corner in July. We are very excited to have three children from our church attending! Church, we are looking for help to "sponsor" a child's cost for camp. "Junior" campers cost $175 and "senior" campers cost $250. If you are interested in helping out, please see Lauren, or place your donation in the offering plate and label it "kids camp." Any donation will be such a blessing! Thank you for your continued love and support of our children!
---YOUTH CAMP AT VICTORY MOUNTAIN. High School: June 28-July 3. Middle School: July 5-10. Please contact Lindsey immediately if you would like to register A deposit of $50 is needed. **We have 7 youth currently scheduled to go to camp. The cost for the camp is $385. If you would like to sponsor the cost of a camper to go (either all or part of the cost), we would greatly appreciate it. Camp is where many lifelong decisions for Christ are made, as well as many opportunities for our youth to deepen their faith. It is s very important and we are so thankful for all who have contributed to this throughout the year.
---FALL RETREAT "All In Youth Retreat" September 11-13, Pigeon Forge. Spots are limited, so it's first come first served. Deadline for registering is August 9, but we will be opening the retreat up to friends on July 12 if the spots are not full. Let Lindsey know if you are interested in going.
---"FOLLOW" NATIONAL YOUTH CONFERENCE FOR TEENS & YOUNG ADULTS Join us as we embark again to our national youth conference in Cincinnati, Ohio this December 28-31. Come gather, connect and grow as we encounter and experience Jesus! You must be registered by September 20 to be able to -- the sooner you register, the better (contact Lindsey for QR code assistance). When you register, you will need to place a $50 deposit down, which will be returned to you during the conference to help with food and other merch that you might want to get while in OH. We hope you all can join us for this amazing conference!
