I feel like stirring up some stuff today … just because so here it goes ……We, Christians, often use Proverbs 31 as the measuring stick for a godly, virtuous woman, except for one thing we omits the fact that Proverbs 31 wasn’t written to women, it was written to men. See, toxic patriarchy starts from Proverbs 31:10, but what God intended men to understand is that the woman in Proverbs 31:10-31 is the partner of a Proverbs 31 man — a man who has the character, mentality and behavior of his Savior…Proverbs 31:1-9:
1 The sayings of King Lemuel—an inspired utterance his mother taught him.
2 Listen, my son! Listen, son of my womb!
Listen, my son, the answer to my prayers!
3 Do not spend your strength on women,
your vigor on those who ruin kings.
4 It is not for kings, Lemuel—
it is not for kings to drink wine,
not for rulers to crave beer,
5 lest they drink and forget what has been decreed,
and deprive all the oppressed of their rights.
6 Let beer be for those who are perishing,
wine for those who are in anguish!
7 Let them drink and forget their poverty
and remember their misery no more.
8 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
for the rights of all who are destitute.
9 Speak up and judge fairly;
defend the rights of the poor and needy.
Let’s be clear, God’s daughters require a proverbs 31 man. A man who is an abuser is not qualified for God’s daughter
The reason why the virtuous women relationship was on point is because she married a man that was virtuous…
Side note women of God:
a man who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor…… it can get hard and lonely …. And even sexual for you and women we settle …
knowing we found him somewhere but not in Christ….. wait on your Boaz
