Hey Fuel and Flame, happy Good Friday.
As we observe this day we would love to invite you into a devotional and a moment of mediation in the word. Today we remember Jesus going to the cross and although he was raised from death to life, there is something to observe from his death as well.
-
Many times our day gets stretched out till the moment we lay down and close our eyes to sleep.
As you read, take a moment to remember the greatest act of love and realize, It was all for you!
(Not a necessary step but, we’d encourage you, to put some music on. There are so many good options but these might help: “The blood” by Bethel Music, “Son of Suffering” by Bethel Music, “Man of Sorrows” by Hillsong United, Instrumental worship on YouTube, etc..)
(Find a private place/somewhere you won’t be disturbed) Pray and thank the lord for the day. Take a couple deep breaths and when you’re ready open up your bible up to John 19.
- You’ll be reading the entire chapter so get comfy.
- Every couple verses, pause and take a moment to reflect and take in what is happening. What do you think is going through Jesus’ mind? Ask good questions, the Lord is listening! Once you are finished, sit in silence and allow the word to come to memory. After some time, in your own words, start to thank God for Good Friday and for Jesus’ sacrifice. End with some prayer and go live in the freedom and joy his sacrifice brought to us!
GO LIVE WITH THE JOY & LOVE OF THE LORD! SHARE THE GOOD NEWS! THERE IS NOW NO CONDEMNATION FOR THOSE IN CHRIST JESUS! HALLELUJAH!
