It’s ✨Testimony Tuesday✨ Read below to find out how Ally spent her summer serving overseas!!

“This past summer, I had the opportunity to travel to Southeast Asia for 6 weeks. I met up with 4 other college aged students who soon became close friends. I spent time in a Montessori school, English language center, summer camp, and English clubs ministering to the physical needs of people while sharing the love of Jesus. My team and I spent our time reaching people with the Gospel through educational contexts.

If I could encapsulate my summer into two words, it would be “servant leader.” The Lord reshaped my understanding of service. He showed me that it doesn’t always look like being in the midst of the most exciting things but can often look like doing the seemingly mundane. He revealed pride, a grumbling heart, and my need to know ‘why’. He showed me that I didn’t need to the know the purpose to still serve faithfully because He is faithful. Servant leadership looks like being among the first to step out despite feeling inadequate or thinking that you could be of better use somewhere else. It looks like allowing yourself to be ‘inconvenienced’. It looks like doing it with your whole heart as service to the Lord. It looks like valuing the position and context God has placed you in and giving Him your ‘yes’.

I walked away this summer knowing God worked in and through me, knowing He blessed me with wonderful friendships, gave me a greater appreciation of His creation, and placed a desire to serve in every context. God began a good work in SE Asia long ago, and I was blessed to have been invited by Him to join what He is already doing. ”

Morehead BCM kitchen got a refresh this summer! Just in time for students to come back on campus. Huge thanks to everyone who volunteered time, resources, and sweat to make it happen. A special thanks to Bracken Association of Baptists and AMS David Cheek!

Whether you’re serving across the world or simply across the street, the call of Jesus remains the same:

As you spend time with family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors, pray for opportunities to share the hope of Christ.

The mission doesn’t stop when the semester ends!

WOW! What an incredible week we had in Arica, Chile!!!🇨🇱 Our team had the privilege of partnering with Christian students on the university campus, as well as several local churches throughout the city. Our mission was to help strengthen and equip a campus ministry that will continue reaching college students long after we’ve returned home, while also encouraging and supporting the local church body. Our goal is to build meaningful, lasting relationships with both the university community and local congregations.

Throughout the week, we shared the Gospel, engaged in spiritual conversations, served alongside local ministries, and witnessed God moving in powerful ways. It was a joy to see students and church members united in their passion to make Christ known 🙌🏻

We are so grateful for every student, church partner, and new friend we met along the way. Thankful for the opportunity to be a part of what God is doing in Chile, and excited to see how He continues to impact lives for His Kingdom ❤️
