We want to pack as much fun and fellowship for our church family into this summer as possible! We're still adding events so stay tuned, but for now, here's some upcoming dates that we'd like you to be aware of!

TONIGHT - Wednesday June 22nd, we'll be taking the kids and youth over to Dairio after Wednesday Bible Study for ICE CREAM! You know ... I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!

July 3rd Cookout - there are sign up sheets on the bulletin board near the church offices. The church will provide burgers, hot dogs, and drinks, and the church members will bring in all the rest. We'll play corn hole, horseshoes, and more! It was a GREAT time last month, so we wanted to do it again!

On Friday July 8th, we'll meet at the church at 8:00am and travel together over to Kings Mountain National Military Park. Cost is $3 per adult, $1.50 for seniors 65+, and $1 for kids (kids under 5 are free!). Bring a packed lunch; the church will provide coolers of drinks. We have reserved the picnic shelter so we can all sit down and enjoy lunch together. The rest of the day can be spent hiking and exploring the park.

Our next Church Family Meal will be on Wednesday July 13th. We're hosting a board game night! We'll have chess, Scrabble, and other board games set up (feel free to bring along your personal favorite!) and we'll let kids, youth, and adults challenge one another all evening long!

Vacation Bible School is fast approaching! I'm so excited for this year's Spark Studios! It's all about how we were CREATED, DESIGNED, and EMPOWERED by God. We're going to rock out at music time, get creative in crafts, get moving in recreation, and dig deep into God's Word. VBS will be every evening from July 17 through July 21st 6:00pm-8:00pm. We will have a nursery provided for our members, a PreK/K class, a 1st through 3rd grade class, and a 4th through 6th grade class. Church youth will be helping lead VBS. There will be an Adult VBS hosted by Pastor Joel, as well.

Following VBS, on Saturday July 30th from 1:00pm - 4:00pm, we want to showcase the creativity and talent of our church members and VBS guests. We will be inviting back all of our VBS kiddos as well as our church members for an Arts & Crafts show!! We're so excited about this! If your child/teen/family member has a special talent (such as woodworking, painting, sketching, quilting, etc!) let us know so they can be showcased! We'll have light refreshments, and some of our church musicians will be providing music during the event.

And, finally, (at least for now!) Men and Boys - mark your calendar! Thursday August 4th, there will be a hike and fishing excursion just for the guys! Bring a packed lunch, your hiking and fishing gear, and a friend and meet at the church at 7:30 am to go to Crowder Mountain.
