In a celebration of Vernon and Maris’s 29 years of service to Trinity Church, and their impending retirement, the Trinity Choir and friends will present a “farewell” service of Choral Evensong on Sunday, June 7, at 4:00 pm. The current choir will be joined by several former choristers and section leaders. Andrew Senn will be the organist. Andrew is Director of Music at the Church of the Redeemer in Bryn Mawr, and has been accompanying Evensong at Trinity for many years. The music will include a couple of Vernon’s compositions as well as some Evensong favorites. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.

A prayer for Mother's Day

We give thanks to you, O God, for the divine gift of motherhood in all its forms:

For the mothers among us today, for our own mothers, those living and those who have passed away.

For the mothers who loved us well and those who fell short of loving us fully; grant us the forgiveness and peace of your redeeming love.

For all who hope to be mothers someday, those whose hope to have children has been frustrated, and mothers whose children have died; Comfort and uphold them in your loving care.

For chosen families, and those who have been our substitute mothers, whose love lifted us and helped us grow; may we all have the courage to be agents of your grace.

We give you thanks for Mary the mother of Jesus, who bore the Prince of Peace, the Light of your Love in the world; may we also be bearers of your light and love that many may come to know and love you through her Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Where is Don? This afternoon Don climbed a 32-foot ladder in the church to make sure our fire alarm systems were running smoothly. Now, not only do we have a squeaky-clean panel, but our office manager's blood pressure has returned to normal after watching Don ascend to heavenly heights. Thanks Don!

Trinity's Earth Care Ministry set up exhibits in the parish hall during the coffee hours on April 19, 2026 to share ideas for earth-friendly living. Members of the parish learned about composting, growing a wildlife-friendly garden, eco-house-cleaning, and eating an earth-friendly diet. Wildflower seed packets, vegetable plant seedlings, and other items were offered free to all.

Why We Chose St. Jude's: Reflections and Gratitude from Trinity's Youth

This year, our youth chose St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital for their service project. In February, thanks to the generosity of the Trinity congregation, we were able to raise $1,685. We are so grateful to all those who contributed and helped our youth exceed their goal. Here's why this year's cause meant so much to some of them:
