Tonight wasn’t just another youth event.

It marked the end of an incredible chapter as Howie led his final Salt & Light Student Ministries event before stepping into his new role in retirement at Garden City Chapel & Retreat Center.

For nearly 30 years, Howie has faithfully poured into the lives of students at Liberty Baptist Church. Generations have heard the Gospel, grown in their faith, made lifelong friendships, and experienced the love of Christ because one man simply remained faithful to the calling God placed on his life.

His impact can’t be measured by the number of camps, retreats, games, or Wednesday nights. It’s measured in changed lives. In students who became husbands, wives, moms, dads, pastors, missionaries, deacons, Sunday school teachers, and faithful followers of Christ. The seeds planted through Salt & Light Student Ministries will continue bearing fruit for years to come.

While tonight closes one chapter, we’re excited for what God has in store for Howie and Stacie in this next season at Garden City Chapel & Retreat Center. We know they’ll continue doing what they’ve always done so well… pointing people to Jesus! ✝️
