To my Southgate family,
For more than four years, Southgate has been more than a church Jodi and I served. You became part of our family’s story.
Our family has shared life with you. We have laughed together, cried together, prayed together, worshiped together, celebrated victories, walked through difficult seasons, and watched God do some incredible things. You have loved not only me as your pastor, but Jodi, our kids, and our family, and that means more to me than I could ever put into words.
There are so many memories I will carry with me. The conversations in the hallways, the prayers at the altar, the meals, the hugs, the laughter, the hospital rooms, the celebrations, and even the hard moments. Ministry is about people, and you allowed our family to do life with yours.
As this chapter comes to a close, I simply want to say thank you. Thank you for trusting me to be your pastor. Thank you for loving Jodi and our family. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives for these four-plus years.
Our roles may change, but the love and the memories don’t disappear.
Jodi and I, along with our family, will always be grateful for our years at Southgate, and we genuinely pray that God blesses this church and each of you in the season ahead.
Keep loving Jesus. Keep loving each other. Keep being genuine, generous, growing, and global. And above everything else, keep moving forward in everything God has for you.
“The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me.” Psalm 138:8 CSB
With much love and gratitude,
Pastor Mike, Jodi, and family
