I want to take a moment to share a word of testimony to the glory of God my Heavenly Father.
Anyone who works in or around the medical profession can easily tell you how deadly pulmonary embolism can be. I have personally seen patients who showed at the Er and had a pulmonary embolism right in front of the Doctor and the patient died anyway.
But in 2020 I developed bi-lateral pulmonary embolism. Which means blood clots in both lungs at tab same exact time. It is nothing less than a miracle to survive, and I have truly praised God for seeing me through. But then that is really only half of the story.
Quite frankly, the blood thinners they had me on or quite costly. Several of my doctors had discussed the fact that they did not feel that I needed to be on blood thinners continually for the rest of my life and that I could go ahead and stop them if I wanted too. Since they had more in doubled in price a little over a year ago, I decided to stop taking the blood thinner. And then about a month ago, I noticed that I was getting just a little short of breath when I would walk nothing major just a little irritated, however, is time progressed it continually got worse. Then one afternoon I told Sandra that I couldn’t wait any longer that I needed to go see my family doctor. We went to see her and of course she sent me straight from her office to get a CAT scan. After getting the CAT scan is getting ready to go and the CAT scan or the radiology tech, come out and ask if I could wait just a few moments before I left and it wasn’t for just a few minutes later the radiologist himself came down and said that he could not get hold of my doctor, but he was going to override and send me straight to the ER that I was in critical condition and I had massive clots in both lungs For bilateral pulmonary embolism. I got to the emergency room and the doctor seemed a little concerned so I pressed him for an answer about how bad it was and basically he said it’s as bad as it can get without you being dead. He should message Johnston. I’ve got 30 patients in the emergency room And right now you’re the only one I care about he said because you are in serious serious trouble. Several people tried to get an IV started on me. They couldn’t find the vein if they could find it blue as soon as they touched it with the needle one nurse had managed to put an IV in my chest, and they had given me three major boluses of of heparin. But the doctor explained he needed to get a large for Ivey starting and they were not going to be successful in the veins so he was going to have to start a central line in my right jugular vane and it was going to be a very risky procedure because I had so much heparin on board. So for a second time in my life, I am facing bilateral pulmonary embolism and this time I’m facing a terrorist attack while trying to have it resolved. But I want to give God all the praise and glory becomes for a second he has brought me through. I don’t know why God chose to bring me through this yet again because God knows I am so undeserving and such grace. I know, beyond the shadow of the doubt that God is still a healer in the times of which we lives, and I truly praise him for healing me. I pray this just I’ll touch somebody’s heart and bless them today.
