The enemy wants you to be afraid.

Not the healthy kind of fear that keeps us safe. No, the horrible kind of fear that whispers worst-case scenarios, absent of hope and haunted by hurt.

With death on his breath, fear says, “Entertain my entanglements. Linger in my lies. And drink deeply from my darkness.”

While we’re distracted with fear, the enemy pickpockets our purpose. Cripples our courage. Dismantles our dreams. And blinds us to the beauty of the Lord’s great plans.

On the surface it may not seem like your assignment is all that important. But it is! You are to bring forth and proclaim the name of Jesus.

Is there a person with whom you’ve been afraid to share your testimony? Is there a relationship causing you confusion and anxiety? Is there a problem you’re facing where there seems to be no solution?

Proclaiming the name of Jesus brings power, protection and a perspective that crushes fear. It is the name above every other.

Yes, there is power in the name of Jesus.

This is convicting.

This is convicting.

We all want to go to Heaven. But how often do we ignore the God of Heaven in our everyday lives?

It’s easy to say “I love God”—but real love shows up in time, in attention, in presence. If we never make space for Him now, why do we expect to enjoy eternity with Him later?

This isn’t condemnation, it’s conviction. And conviction is a gift when it leads us back to Him. Because God doesn’t want your perfection, He wants you. He’s not keeping score, He’s keeping the door open.

Don’t let busyness, distraction, or spiritual laziness rob you of what matters most. You were made for relationship with God—not just someday, but today.

Start small. Start with a prayer. Open your Bible. Speak His name. You don’t have to climb your way back, just turn around. He’s right there.

“Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord. — Malachi 3:7

You can’t say you long for forever with God and then leave Him out of your now. Draw near. Begin again. He’s waiting. 🙏🏻🤍

God isn’t mad when we wrestle to do His will. How do I know? Because His Son also wrestled.

Before He went to the cross, in the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus “fell with his face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will’” (Matthew 26:39). Though Jesus wrestled, He chose to obey. Jesus surrendered to His Father. He always followed His Father’s way (John 5:19).

We may have had earthly parents who were impatient for a quick resolution and forced us to obey or say “I’m sorry” swiftly. Maybe they got mad when we didn’t act immediately. And we've all been impatient with our own kids and others too. But sometimes in our demands for quick obedience, we miss learning to wrestle — to do the right thing when it's difficult.

You and I can spend time with the Father, learning His Word, hearing His loving voice encouraging and empowering us to trust Him, especially when obedience is difficult. He’s not mad when we wrestle but is here to help us stop trying to control the outcome and instead surrender to His good plan and purposes.

Our Father is on our side to help us, “for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Philippians 2:13, NIV).

-Lynn Cowell

When you are wrestling to walk in love or surrender to the Father’s way, how can remembering that Jesus also wrestled help you move closer to the Father?

Happy Father’s Day! We are blessed to have a loving Heavenly Father!

Happy Father’s Day! We are blessed to have a loving Heavenly Father!

Today we honor every father, grandfather, and spiritual father who reflects the heart of our Heavenly Father.

Your love, your prayers, your steady presence — they matter more than words can say.

And to those who are missing a father today or walking through grief, may you be reminded that God is always near — the perfect Father who never leaves or forsakes us.

“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.”

— Psalm 103:13

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at In Touch Ministries.

Join us on Sunday one as we continue our Christmas series on the Favored One.

She was "highly favored" but was almost put away by the man she loved the most.

"Highly favored" but she was rejected by every person in Bethlehem.

"Highly Favored" but she laid on the dirt floor of a barn and gave birth to a baby she carried nine months.

"Highly Favored" but in the middle of the night had to leave all she knew and move to a strange town because God said so.

Favor never looks like favor at first. Favor sometimes takes you through frustration, failure, and fear. You want to be favored of God? It may be in darkest night or deepest valley. But there in that place where no one sees you and you feel like no one understands whisper to yourself, "this is only the beginning not the end. This will turn out for my good and His glory. This is because...I'm Favored."
