This weekend is Baptism Sunday at Vanguard Church! We will be holding ONE 10am service at VANGUARD CENTRAL (we will not be at The Barn this weekend!!) Please join us!

Vanguard Church exists to love others into REAL relationship with Jesus Christ, and baptism weekend is a beautiful example of this lived out in our congregation and community. 5 people will be making a public profession of their faith in Jesus by walking in believer’s baptism.

Also, this weekend, Pastor Kelly will be signing his new book! The enemy is crafty and he looks for every angle possible to discourage us and destroy us. But Jesus has come to give us life and give it to us more abundantly. The enemy can try to curse you, but Jesus gets the final word about YOU! It is possible to live blessed in Christ. We are made worthy through Christ to be freed from bo***ge and live blessed. This book will help you break free from being cursed by the enemy and cursing yourself so you can live blessed in Christ.

VTL Family,

This past Sunday, our Engagement and Outreach Committee, led by the fearless Annalarie and Dean, canvassed the local community around The Barn to share about VTL. Thank you SO much to those who helped in this effort!

In doing so, they were able to pray over a delivery driver in the area. This is not random conversation; it is divine! When we are fearless, and do what God tells us to do, He will create opportunity for and through us! Lean into your calling and be a SENT Church!

Continue to invite your family, friends, co-workers, and our local community!

We are excited to see the fruit that comes from this event and this Committee as a whole. Thank you Annalarie and Dean for leading us in this way!

We are now two weeks away from Vanguard VBB at Vanguard Central and need your help to get your kids registered and to get other kids to join your kids for a FUN WEEK of learning about Jesus. Kids’ lives will be changed FOREVER for all eternity because of this week. This week is the most significant week of ministry for our church as a whole.

We have almost 100 volunteers that make this week happen. There is no week like it. If you are discouraged in your faith with Jesus, come watch kids worship Jesus. It will CHANGE YOU FOREVER! If you have any questions about this week, please email Pastor Candice at [email protected]

In conjunction with the May 31st baptism connection weekend, Vanguard is hosting a book signing of Pastor Kelly’s NEW book: LEAVING YOUR PLACES OF SH*TTIM: The Journey from Bo***ge to Blessings. Sh*ttim was the place where God’s people cursed themselves. You may not know this, but Jesus died on a Sh*ttim tree to free you from the places where you cursed yourself and where others have tried to curse you. That’s love, that’s grace! That’s salvation! VTL Family,

This Sunday we welcome the amazing G back to VTL to deliver the message! G has been an incredible addition to the Teaching Team this last year. We love his energy and passion for sharing the Word of God! Come to VTL this week, invite a friend, and hear what G has to share with us.

We are doing a community outreach after service this Sunday. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Dean and Annalarie Bernaldez are leading this endeavor for VTL. Come to Vanguard Tri-Lakes on Sunday for the 10am service and then stay afterwards to help canvas the surrounding area with invitations to our wonderful location!

VBB is just 3 weeks away; can you believe it?! This is a WONDERFUL opportunity to of course bring your children, but also to invite friends of your children, so they can hear about Jesus! Baptism call This Sunday!If you have placed your faith in Jesus but have not yet followed Him in believer’s baptism, this is your opportunity to take that step of obedience and publicly declare, “I belong to Jesus!” We will be calling for baptisms, which will take place on May 31st, at Vanguard Central during our quarterly Connection Weekend of combined locations.
Continuing the Greater Works Series This Sunday we will continue in our 2 Kings: Greater Works message series with a message titled “Defiance Toward God’s Greater Works.” We are nearing the end of this powerful series, so don’t miss it! As we pursue what God has called us to do and become, we should expect resistance and defiance. Scripture reminds us that opposition often accompanies faithfulness. The enemy opposes what God is doing in and through His people, but even in the face of that resistance, we will continue to live out greater works. It’s time for VTL to GROW!

Mark your calendars for May 17th as we take a step together to reach our local community. Following the service, we will be canvassing the neighborhood surrounding The Barn, handing out flyers and inviting people to join us at Vanguard Tri-Lakes.

We believe God is calling us to intentionally focus on the community around us: building relationships, extending invitations, and helping people find hope and belonging in Christ.

This outreach is being led by Dean and Annalarie as part of our new Engagement & Outreach Community. Their team will focus on two key initiatives:
Promoting VTL within the local community
Creating events and opportunities to connect with our neighbors
This will be the first official outreach event of many to come, and we are excited to see how God uses it. Thank you, Dean and Annalarie, for leading the way!

We hope you’ll join us on the 17th as we go out together to love and reach our community.
