As we close out summer, we’re turning the corner into some of the busiest—and most exciting—months of the year!

We have some important updates and reminders about upcoming outreach opportunities at Providence UMC. ❤️

🤝 INASMUCH United Northern Neck

The official INASMUCH United Northern Neck event day will take place on Saturday, September 19th, but due to scheduling conflicts, Providence will be packing and delivering Blessing Bags on Sunday, September 13th, immediately following worship service. This event is open to anyone in the community who would like to join in this wonderfully heart-warming ministry.

🥪 Lunch will be provided!

We encourage everyone to plan to spend your Sunday afternoon with us as we come together in unity, fellowship, and service to bless those in need throughout our community. There is something special about putting our faith into action and serving together! ❤️

🍁 Montross Fall Festival

Providence UMC WILL have a tent at the Montross Fall Festival!

🎉 EXCITING NEWS FROM PROVIDENCE UMC! 🎉

We have been working behind the scenes on something very exciting and we're almost at the finish line so we thought we'd share it with you! ❤️

Our amazing sound booth technician, David Brauning, has been working very hard to bring our church’s technology to a new level. He has spent countless hours behind the sound booth, making sure we can enjoy beautiful musical hymns as we enter the church on Sunday mornings, displaying exquisite images on the screen throughout our services, and now...🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁

📣 That’s right — Providence UMC will soon be LIVE!

This is an exciting new opportunity to reach those who may not be able to join us in person — whether they are homebound, traveling, sick, or simply unable to make it through our doors. We pray this new ministry will allow the message of God’s love to reach even more hearts and homes. ❤️

As we begin this new adventure, please pardon us as we work out the kinks! 😊 There may be a few bumps along the way as we learn, adjust, and fine-tune everything.

🎶 Homecoming Special Music 🎶

We wanted to share this beautiful video of one of the songs from our Homecoming celebration!

We were incredibly blessed by the heartfelt ministry of Alvin Balderson, Jr. God has truly gifted him with an amazing talent, and we are so thankful he shared that gift with us. His music was inspiring, uplifting, and a powerful reminder of God’s goodness and grace.

We invite you to take a moment to watch, listen, and be encouraged. May it bless your heart as much as it blessed ours in worship.

What a truly joyful and Spirit-filled Homecoming celebration! ❤️⛪

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for everyone who joined us, whether you traveled from near or far, to worship, fellowship, and celebrate the goodness of God together. It was a beautiful reminder that there truly is No Place Like Home.

🌹 We lovingly remembered those members we lost this past year with white roses placed in their honor:
• Raymond Nash
• James E. White

Their memories remain a cherished part of our church family, and they will always hold a special place in our hearts.

🎶 We were incredibly blessed by the beautiful special music provided by Alvin Balderson, Jr. God has truly gifted him with an amazing talent, and we are so thankful he shared that gift with us through such inspiring and heartfelt harmony.

🎒 One of the most touching moments of the morning was our Backpack Blessing. There is nothing more wonderful than seeing God's house filled with children! Pastor Mike led a special blessing over our students as members of the congregation joined together in prayer, asking God to watch over them, protect them, and guide them throughout the new school year.

The love, laughter, worship, and fellowship shared throughout the day made this a true Homecoming celebration. We are thankful for every smiling face, every hug, every prayer, and every conversation.

A heartfelt THANK YOU goes to everyone who helped make this day so special—from those who planned and organized, to those who prepared the delicious meal, decorated, served, and stayed afterward to clean up. Your love and servant hearts are a blessing to our church family.

Our doors are always open, and there is always a place for you here.

We love you... and God does too! ❤️🙏
