✨ You’re Invited to the Montpelier Idaho Temple Open House! ✨

The wait is almost over! From September 10–26 (excluding Sundays), everyone is invited to tour the newly completed Montpelier Idaho Temple before it is dedicated.

✔️ No tickets required.
✔️ No reservations needed.
✔️ Admission is free.

Whether you’re a lifelong member of the Church or simply curious to learn more about temples, this is a unique opportunity to step inside, experience its beauty, and discover why temples are so important to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The walking tour lasts about 45 minutes, and friendly volunteers will be available to answer questions along the way.

As we continue our countdown, we reflect on Brigham Young’s inspiring vision of the eternal blessings made possible through Jesus Christ and His holy temples. From the beginning of time to the end of the Millennium, the work of salvation and redemption is centered on the Savior’s love for all of God’s children.

Temples remind us that God’s plan reaches across generations. They testify that families can be united eternally and that His work continues on both sides of the veil. Every ordinance performed in the temple points us to Jesus Christ and His infinite Atonement.

In just 6 weeks, the Montpelier Idaho Temple will open its doors to the public. Whether you’re a lifelong member of the Church or simply curious to learn more, we invite you to come and experience the peace, beauty, and purpose of this sacred house.

✨ 7 Weeks Until the Montpelier Idaho Temple Open House ✨

Each week brings us closer to the opportunity to welcome our community into the Montpelier Idaho Temple.

This week’s quote from President Joseph Fielding Smith reminds us of one of the sacred purposes of temples: offering ordinances on behalf of those who have passed on. Through Jesus Christ, families can be connected across generations, and we have the privilege of serving our ancestors in a meaningful and eternal way.

The temple is a place of hope, love, and remembrance—a place where hearts are turned to fathers, mothers, grandparents, and generations past. As we prepare for the open house, we invite you to learn more about why temples hold such a special place in the hearts of Latter-day Saints.

In just 7 weeks, the doors will open for visitors of all faiths to experience the beauty of the Montpelier Idaho Temple and learn about its sacred purpose.

President Dallin H. Oaks has taught that bringing temples closer to God’s children helps them remember their covenants and strengthens them in keeping the Lord’s commandments. What a blessing it is to have the Montpelier Idaho Temple in our own community.

As we continue our countdown, we reflect on President Russell M. Nelson’s loving invitation to make time for the temple.

Life is busy, and the demands on our time are real. Yet President Nelson reminds us that our need to be in the house of the Lord has never been greater. In the temple, we find peace amid uncertainty, strength to face life’s challenges, and a deeper connection with Jesus Christ.

In just 8 weeks, the Montpelier Idaho Temple will open its doors to the public, offering a unique opportunity for visitors of all faiths to learn about the purpose of temples and experience the beauty and peace they represent.

Every week brings us one step closer to opening the doors of the Montpelier Idaho Temple to the public. As we count down, we’re filled with gratitude for President Russell M. Nelson’s invitation to seek the blessings that come through making and keeping sacred covenants with God.
The temple is more than a beautiful building—it is a place of peace, hope, and closeness to Jesus Christ. Through the covenants we make with Him, we can receive strength, comfort, and increased access to His power to help us face life’s trials, overcome temptation, and find peace in times of heartache.
Whether you’ve visited a temple many times or this will be your very first opportunity, we warmly invite you to come and see why temples are such a treasured part of our faith.

What a wonderful example of Christlike service in our community!

A heartfelt thank you to the many volunteers who gathered at Walton Feed/Rainy Day Foods in Montpelier to unload, sort, reload, and distribute food to local food banks in McCammon, Soda Springs, Montpelier, Paris, and Garden City.

We are also grateful to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for providing a semi-truck filled with food to help bless families throughout the region. Here in Bear Lake Valley, volunteers delivered 11 pallets of food to the Bear Lake Senior Citizens Center.

A special thank you to Grizzly Trailer Sales of Montpelier for generously providing the truck and flatbed trailer needed to transport the food.

Acts of service like these strengthen our communities and remind us of the Savior’s invitation to love and care for one another. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and talents to make a difference.

When President Russell M. Nelson announced the Montpelier Idaho Temple in April 2022, hearts throughout our community were filled with gratitude and anticipation. What was once an inspired announcement has now become a beautiful reality.

As the sunlight shines on this sacred house of the Lord, we’re reminded of the hope, peace, and joy the temple will bring to our families and our community for generations to come.

With the open house drawing near, we invite you to pause, remember that special announcement, and look forward to the opportunity to step inside this beautiful temple.
