In America's early days, preachers would present what they called election sermons around election time. These were powerful sermons that outlined the views of those running for office. It used to be that a president could not get elected without the Christian vote. It scared politicians so badly that they passed a law that a church could lose its tax-free status if they preached politics from the pulpit. Most churches knuckled under. We need to get back to these sermons. One such sermon was recently preached by Gary Hamrick. It is available on YouTube.
