r questions or concerns, please call Rhonda Ward or Bronda Bertram. Rhonda-606-278-2162 Bronda-606-307-5293
Burial plots in the old section of the cemetery cost $100 and plots in the new section are $200. All monies received for burial plots and cemetery upkeep will be directly deposited into the Cherry Grove Cemetery Fund. A member of the Cherry Grove Church will oversee the installation of all permanent markers within the Cherry Grove Church Cemetery to ensure that no encroaching occurs. Without this appropriate oversight, markers will be removed without further notification and at the expense of the family/person. A vault or urn is required for all burials in the Cherry Grove Church Cemetery. All flowers must be placed on the gravestones only. NO FLOWERS ON THE GROUND. They will be removed. Burial flowers will be removed up to 14 days after the funeral. Planting trees, shrubbery, and/or flowers is prohibited. All shrubbery, flowers, and trees planted before April 12, 2017, will be allowed to remain. This cemetery will not allow any decorations on graves that are inconsistent with Christian ideals and principles. ( No satanic or witchcraft symbols or emblems of this nature will be allowed on any gravestones.) If any improper symbols are placed in or upon any part of the cemetery the Cherry Grove Church has the right and duty to remove the offensive or improper object at the family’s expense. Burial plots are for human remains only. Within 30 days after burial, family members will be responsible for providing dirt and filling in the graves that have settled. If a funeral home digs the plot, they are responsible for leveling settled graves. Cherry Grove Church is not responsible for the repair or maintenance of markers. All gravestones shall be placed at the head of the grave on a concrete base even with the ground. All foot markers must be sunk to ground level. Every grave marker must be inscribed with the name of the deceased and the date of death. Only authorized vehicles are permitted at the Cherry Grove Cemetery and must be approved by the Church. Cherry Grove Church has the right to update and revise the cemetery policies. The church will take appropriate measures to notify those affected of changes in policies. However, it is the responsibility of those who have plots in the cemetery to stay in touch with the church so they can be appropriately informed.
