But God. We had our spaghetti lunch after church today to raise money to revamp our youth group room. A place to truly call their OWN! We started with around $200 and we ended up with over $800! But God! What an amazing demonstration for our youth kiddos to be able to see what our God can do with so little. As the afternoon progressed I was able to enjoy from the sight I was seeing. I overheard one of our youth saying "Man I love to serve!" And that is what it is truly about! I am so incredibly PROUD of what each individual is letting God do in their lives and what incredible examples they are showing to their friends and families.
As I had walked out of our fellowship hall all I could hear was laughter. Pure enjoyment, pure joy radiating into the hallways of our church. Wouldn't even seem like we needed background music. As people were finishing up their meals and just enjoying fellowship with fellow brothers and sisters with bellies full and their "spirit man" bigger, you just needed to dwell in all the goodness of God.
But God! This evening at youth group we continued with the presence of God, we started just with great conversations, leading into random song sessions, we even got to listen to one of our kiddos handwritten songs! We hadn't even realized a whole HOUR had passed by. That's what happens when you let the Lord have His way. We had some "Dear God" letters for the youth to write of anything on their minds, their hearts, anything they wanted to let the Lord know. It was an intimate moment between them and the Lord. We had some guitar playing in the background and we let the Lord move. As these letters burned 🔥 in the fire, you could see the burdens being engulfed in the fire. You saw the hurt disappearing within the flames. And you saw the gratefulness becoming the sweet aroma to the Lord.
A huge thank you to everyone that supported and continues to support R.O.A.R! We couldn't do it without you! Thank you the our kiddos to just have the hearts to SERVE. ❤️@ Thank you to the parents to continue to let us pour into your children and letting them become a part of our lives!
