A minister friend shared this with me, and there is a lot of truth to it. Decisions are not made and sins are not committed in a vacuum; they have an impact on others. Are your choices, your decisions, drawing someone closer to Jesus or serving as a roadblock to their relationship with Him?

Personallly. When I was drinking, I was hurting my family and friends in ways I can’t possibly imagine. It wasn’t just affecting me.

Think about every decision you make. Pray about each decision you make. Is the decision based on what’s best for you, for someone else or is it based on scripture and how God is calling you to live? Is the decision based on a short term fix or pleasure or does it have eternity as its focus?

When you don’t see a way; praise The Lord.
When you wonder what the future holds; praise The Lord.
Don’t praise Him for your circumstances; praise Him through your circumstances. Praise Him for Who He is.

One day Jesus will return. Yes we need to be ready. We also need to understand that He has you and me living here, at this time, and with this mess around us, for a very specific reason. Who needs to see the Love of Jesus in you; so they too are ready for that Glorious Day? Remember, that He loves you and calls you to love others too.
