May we always value the work of every person, seek justice for all laborers, and give thanks for the opportunity to serve God through our daily work.

Dear God,

Give us the courage and strength to answer when You call! Give us clarity and trust to hear Your soft invitations. Give us the love to respond, and the bravery to take the steps that will bring us ever closer to You. Amen.

Back-to-School Blessing—

Dear God, We ask that You bless the students in our parish, giving them inspirational teachers, studious habits, solid friendships, and Your grace in every moment of this school year. Bless the teachers and school staff in our parish, too. Fill them with Your love and care so that, as they teach and minister to our young people, Your wisdom and light may be known, encountered, and shared.

Faith Formation Catechist Training – Thank you to all who have volunteered to help with Faith Formation this year! Our training night will be Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:00pm in the Social Hall. Please contact Audrey Davis at the parish office if you are unable to attend.

Faith Formation Kickoff Night – September 9th at 6:00pm in the Worship Space. We will begin with a simple Mass, discuss the themes for our Faith Formation year, and provide important information for the year. Faith Formation families and students, please plan to attend!

Tomorrow, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary! This day commemorates the Catholic belief (dogma) that Mary, the Mother of Jesus, was assumed body and soul into heaven at the end of her earthly life. This places Mary in an ongoing intercessory role for those of us on Earth.

Mass is at 9:00am on Saturday, August 15th. This year it is not a Holy Day of Obligation.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us!
