This Thursday, August 27, our St. Philomena parish family has a very special reason to celebrate – 🎉 join us in celebrating Charlie Striegel's 100th birthday 🎂!

Please join us for Daily Mass at 7:30 a.m. as we give thanks to God and celebrate 100 YEARS of our beloved parishioner, Charlie ❤️🙏.

Following Mass, we’ll gather for a small breakfast reception in Charlie’s honor. Come share your birthday wishes, enjoy some fellowship and help us celebrate this wonderful milestone together.

Parents, take the night off from cooking and join us for 🍕 Pizza & Parenting 🍕 at St. Philomena Catholic Church hosted by Aaron & Ashley Thais and the Missionaries to the Family team!

Join us Saturday, August 29 from 5:30-7 p.m. following the 4:30 p.m. Mass in Monticello.

We’ll start with a FREE PIZZA DINNER for the entire family followed by a short video and conversation from the Messy Family Project about the joys, challenges and beautiful messiness of family life.

While parents enjoy the presentation and discussion, fun activities will be provided for the kids!

This weekend, we joyfully celebrate the parishioners of St. Philomena in Monticello and St. Joseph in Ivesdale as we come together as one family of faith, united in Christ ❤️🙏.

Following the 10 a.m. Mass on Sunday at St. Philomena, all are invited to a welcome reception for Father O’Neal with food and fellowship. We hope you’ll join us in giving him a warm welcome!

As we begin this new chapter together, we invite every parishioner to share their gifts through the many ministries and activities offered at both church sites.

Together in Christ, may we strengthen our faith, serve one another and continue building a vibrant parish community.

This morning, we celebrated Father Six’s final Mass with us before he returns home to Tanzania at the end of the month. Following Mass, we had the opportunity to visit with Father over coffee and breakfast and enjoy some special time together before his departure.

We are INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL for Father Six and the many ways he blessed our parish during his time with us. His faith, kindness, and service have touched so many, and his presence will certainly be missed!

Please keep Father Six in your prayers as he prepares for his journey home. May God bless him abundantly, grant him safe travels and continue to guide him wherever his ministry leads.

Thank you for everything, Father Six. May God go with you - and know that you will always be remembered fondly by your parish family here. ❤️🙏.

For 25 years, Father Six has faithfully answered God's call to serve His people. On Sunday, our St. Philomena family will have the privilege of celebrating his 25th Jubilee of Priesthood and thanking him before he returns to Africa.

Jubilee & Farewell Mass: 4 p.m. · Celebration Meal & Entertainment: 5 p.m.

The Jubilee & Farewell Mass is at 4 p.m. with the Celebration Meal & Entertainment at 5 p.m.

One special way we can honor Father Six is by greeting him in Swahili - the language he has been teaching us at Mass!

On Sunday, August 9, our St. Philomena parish family will gather to CELEBRATE Father Six's 25th Jubilee of Priesthood and bid him a heartfelt farewell as he prepares to return to Africa.

Mass is at 4 p.m. with a celebration meal and entertainment immediately following at 5 p.m. Please RSVP by Monday, August 3 – see bulletin for details!

As Father Six shared the previous weekends, he is teaching us Swahili phrases. Let's honor him by practicing them before his special day!
