A friend of mine posted this today, I wanted to share.
Salt Shakers 🧂
Salt is quiet but powerful. It does not need applause or attention, and neither do you. You may not shout to be noticed, but when the grace of God on your life touches something, it changes. You carry influence even when you don’t feel seen. You carry power even when you feel hidden. Salt works quietly, and so do you.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:13, “Ye are the salt of the earth.” He was talking about you. He was speaking to the one who doesn’t feel qualified, the one who has been through battles, the one who wonders if their life still matters.
The problem is not the salt inside you. The problem is the shaking around you. You can be anointed and still stuck. You can be called and still contained. You can carry fire and still feel forgotten. And that is why God, in His mercy, begins to shake you.
He shakes your comfort. He shakes your plans. He shakes the parts of your life that dulled your edge and quieted your voice. You call it disruption, but God calls it deployment.
He is not trying to unsettle you. He is preparing to use you. Salt only fulfills its purpose when it leaves the place where it felt safe. You do not step into destiny by staying comfortable. You step into it by being poured out.
Salt does not just flavor. Salt fights. Salt preserves. Salt pushes back what should have died. And God has placed you in situations where decay tried to win, where darkness tried to settle, because your presence was meant to hold the line. The shaking you feel is not God abandoning you. It is God positioning you.
Lot’s wife became a pillar of salt because she looked back at what God said to leave. She became a monument when she was meant to spark a movement.
You cannot afford to freeze in fear. You cannot afford to stay stuck in regret. You cannot afford to let religion tame you or let fear silence you. Your fire is not a flaw. Your fire is your calling.
Salt loses its savor when it stops touching anything. When it sits too long in delay, when it waits too long in fear, when it gets stuck in cycles that numb rather than sharpen, it becomes silent salt.
You have had seasons like that. Seasons where you stayed still too long. Seasons where you forgot who you were. Seasons where your boldness faded and your passion dimmed. But losing savor does not mean losing purpose. It simply means God is shaking you awake again.
God is the Shaker. You are the salt. And the world is waiting for the flavor He placed inside you.
