Thank you to the Sunrise Rotary Club for coordinating a day of service and helping turnover the raised beds at the Matthew 25 resource Center. Steve, Candice, Stan, and one of Matthew 25’a many faithful volunteer missionaries, James worked diligently to clear the beds and prepare them for our fall produce: collards, broccoli, okra, romaine lettuce, radishes and over wintering of strawberries, onions, garlic, and carrots.

Thanks to the Heart of Alabama Food Bank and Feeding America, we have developed a new partnership with Costco to support families in need throughout the River Region.

Many thanks to Hawk for same day delivery of a commercial refrigerator and freezer. Vick and Jimmy from Hawk, and Carl MacCarthy from the MBA were all super men getting these units into Matthew 25. Thanks are also extended to the Heart of Alabama Food Bank and Feeding America with funds to support these units with a Retail Capacity Building Grant.

City of Montgomery Emergency Management Agency is partnering with Salvation Army & MACH, in providing Community Cooling Center from 9am 5:00pm at 3460 Carter Hill Road, Montgomery, AL 36111. No ID required. Anyone in need of place temporary emergency community cooling center at the SALVATION ARMY.

Food Pantry Six-Month Impact Report

Serving More Families. Meeting Greater Needs. Sharing Hope.

During the first six months of 2026, our Love Loud Montgomery food pantry, a SEND Relief Affiliate, has experienced a significant increase in the number of households seeking assistance.

268 new households have visited our pantry for the first time—an increase that demonstrates both a growing need in our community and the importance of keeping our pantry accessible and responsive.

We have also served 64 more returning households than during the same period last year. This increase among returning guests indicates that many families continue to face ongoing challenges in maintaining consistent access to nutritious food.

Our Impact
Together, these numbers represent 332 additional household visits from new and returning guests compared with the same period last year.

Behind every number is a family, parent, child, senior, or individual who has been given food assistance, encouragement, and an opportunity to experience the love of Christ through practical ministry.

We are grateful for the volunteers, churches, donors, and community partners who make the food pantry possible. As the need continues to grow, so does our commitment to serve our community with dignity, compassion, and hope.

The garden continues to bless our guests with an abundance of cherry tomatoes and bell peppers. As these plants begin to fade in this heat, we will begin to prepare the beds for a two month rest and begin prepping for fall plants like our broccoli and greens.
