2nd Sunday Service
Bishop W. G. Broadnax
New Birth Missionary Baptist Church

Today was a FULL Sunday.

Revelation 20:11–15 — The Great White Throne Judgment.

And the reminder we’re carrying into this week: It’s time to make a change. You have to seek God for yourself. Not through somebody else’s relationship. Not just on Sundays. For yourself.

The crowd was beautiful, the fellowship was beautiful, but the WORD was the reason.

Leaving today reflective, grateful, and reminded that how we live matters.

Join us as we celebrate 26 years of faithful leadership! 💙

This Sunday, we honor our Pastor, Bishop (Dr.) Willie G. Broadnax, as he celebrates his 26th Pastoral Anniversary at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.

In July 1976, on his beloved mother MaDear's birthday, Bishop Broadnax stood to preach his trial sermon. What began as a single act of obedience became a lifetime of answering God's call. For nearly five decades, he has faithfully proclaimed the Gospel, led countless souls to Christ, comforted grieving families, dedicated children, united couples in holy matrimony, counseled the brokenhearted, and reminded us all that God is still able.

Many remember him as "The Mad Lad," working alongside Tom Joyner in radio. Others remember him as the history teacher who inspired generations of students to become doctors, lawyers, educators, ministers, nurses, and leaders. But to thousands, he is simply Pastor—a shepherd after God's own heart.

His résumé is impressive: degrees, certifications, awards, and professional accomplishments. Yet his greatest credential has never hung on a wall. It is the calling God placed upon his life and the license to preach His Word that he received under the leadership of the late Rev. Rubin B. Martin.

Through joy and heartbreak... through the loss of loved ones... through a global pandemic... in seasons of celebration and seasons of sorrow, he kept preaching. He has stood on the battlefield for Christ, unwavering, because the assignment was never about convenience—it was always about obedience.

As Scripture reminds us:

"The labourer is worthy of his hire." — Luke 10:7

We invite everyone whose life has been touched by Bishop Broadnax's ministry to join us as we celebrate a faithful servant, an exceptional leader, and a man whose life continues to point others to Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment, your wisdom, your love, and your example. We praise God for your life and look forward to all that He will continue to do through your ministry.

Happy 26th Pastoral Anniversary, Bishop! 💙🙌🏽

Worship was powerful today.
It wasn’t about numbers… it was about reaching hearts. Worship, the choir, and the message all pointed back to one thing: there’s room for more. More faith. More healing. More connection. More people experiencing God together.

When you walked into church and left reminded that faith grows when we make room for more. Thankful for today’s worship and word 🤍🎶

Come as you are. There’s room for more.

What a beautiful Resurrection Sunday and 1st Sunday! ✝️

Today was such a powerful reminder that the greatest story ever told is still changing lives.

Today’s sermon, “The Greatest Story Ever Told,” reminded us that Easter is more than a celebration…

It is the story of love, sacrifice, grace, and salvation. A story that still reaches us right where we are.

From worship…
to the Word…
to the smiles on the children’s faces…
to the fellowship after service…

Today was full of joy, love, and resurrection power.

We are so grateful for every family, every child, every volunteer, every guest, and every heart that shared this special day with us.

Jesus lives and because He lives, we have hope.

First Sunday Teaching: Let’s Go Fishing! 🎣

Today we were challenged and inspired by the powerful Word from John 21:1-4.

The message reminded us that when we go fishing in the church, it’s not just about casting our nets it’s about fishing on the right side with the right tools.

Here’s a glimpse of what was shared:
When you fish on the right side….

- God will supply all your needs.
- God will prepare a table in the presence of your enemies.
- God fights your battles, all you have to do is stand still.
- Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
- God will do exceedingly and abundantly above all you can imagine.
- God has promised beauty for ashes and joy for mourning when we step into His ways.

Today’s teaching encouraged us to trust Him, be still, and watch His promises unfold in our lives.

Come join us this Wednesday, Bible Study @ 6pm and/or next Sunday @ 9am for worship service.

What a beautiful and powerful celebration we had today as we honored Black History Month together as a church family.

We were blessed with a full house, warm fellowship, and joyful praise as we welcomed our guests and the incredible youth choir from Bellingrath School. Their voices filled the sanctuary and reminded us of the beauty, hope, and promise in the next generation.

Our hearts were further enriched by the Word brought forth by our Bishop Willie G Broadnax, whose message titled “The ABCs of the Lord” was both timely and profound. Teaching from Revelation 1:1–3 & 8, he reminded us that the Lord is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, faithful in every generation and sovereign over all.

From meaningful worship to heartfelt fellowship and shared refreshments, today’s service was a powerful reminder of who God is and the history we honor together.

We are grateful for every guest, every parent, every child, every member, and every heart that helped make today unforgettable. To God be the glory!
