Was your New Year’s resolution to go green or reduce your carbon footprint to help the environment? Here are some tips for easy things you can incorporate into your daily life!

🌎 Compost. Food waste is one of the top contributors of climate change. If everyone in the U.S. composted food scraps, it would be equivalent to removing 7.8 million cars from the road.

🌎 Reduce waste. While recycling can help, it is not the solution. We need to eliminate single use plastics and reduce how much we consume as a society.

🌎 Reduced mobility. Use sustainable transportation such as cycling, walking, or using public transportation when possible. Reducing our reliance on fossil fuels is imperative!

We hold there are as many paths through life as there are people – and we help each other find our way ❀️

Together, we learn from ancient wisdom, philosophy, science, art and poetry. We pray, meditate, find stillness in nature. We work on a common cause 🧑

We pay attention to our inner life; to what we see as sacred, holy πŸ’›

Unitarian history has been one of open-minded, loving community, from our origins with the dissenting Christians of the 17th and 18th centuries, through to reflecting the diversity of values and beliefs in Britain today. Our ethos is grounded in freedom and enquiry πŸ’š

Our Object today is β€œto promote a free and inquiring religion through the worship of God and the celebration of life; the service of humanity and respect for all creation; and the upholding of the liberal Christian tradition.” πŸ’™
