Food for thought:
"Blessed is every one that feareth Jehovah, That walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labor of thy hands: Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee."

As noted above, the first verse here is a concise statement of the theme of the psalm.

"Thou shalt eat the labor of thy hands" In both the Old Testament and the New Testament, the work ethic is a cardinal principle of God's will for mankind. Even in Eden God assigned Adam work to do; and in the Decalogue, even ahead of the sabbath commandment, there thunders the commandment, "Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work."

The society in which we live today has spawned a whole generation of people who expect to live by the fruit of other men's labors; but an apostle has written, "If a man will not work, neither let him eat" (2 Thessalonians 3:10).

This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. 19 Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God. 20 They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart.
