After Pentecost: Now What?

When Jesus ascended into heaven, He commissioned His disciples to be witnesses—to proclaim the good news and invite people into a relationship with Christ. But the gospel was never meant to stay private.

A life transformed by Christ should also transform the world around us.

Happy Mother’s Day from Mission Talk! 🌸

Today we honor mothers—their presence, their sacrifices, and the strength they carry every day.

Thank you for the countless ways you nurture, encourage, protect, and hold families and communities together. Your love leaves a lasting impact that often reaches far beyond what words can express.

We also hold space today for those who carry this day with mixed emotions—those grieving, longing, or navigating loss. You are seen by God, and you are not forgotten.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” – Proverbs 31:25

Praise Report! Thanks to collective effort of advocates who are doing the work everyday, the Orange County Commissioners stop the collaboration with ICE in regards to housing undocumented immigrants. Prior to this decision Mission Talk mobilized over 50 pastors prayed physically and fervently for immigrant families at the Orange County jail /detention center and God did the miracle! Let’s keep believing that God will liberate our people and will continue use advocates working hard every day.

Alligator Alcatraz is next, many of our people are sick and depressed in this detention center. Please help us pray fervently for them.

A Call to Social Holiness: 40 Days of Prayer until Pentecost

God calls us to a social holiness, where our actions—empowered by the Spirit—confront and overcome the forces of evil so that His salvation may be fully revealed, bringing abundant life (John 10:10). These actions are a sign of Christ’s mercy—they are the Gospel, the Good News—and we are witnesses of that Good News. We come out of this fast committed to living holy lives, both personally and socially, as witnesses of His mercy and saving love.

INVITATION - First Week of Prayer

We invite you to join us in these 40 days of prayer, asking God to plant within us the seeds of His new work as we prepare for Pentecost—when He will renew the power of His Spirit in us, so that together with Him we may bring renewal to the world.

Purpose: To Wait and Love God with All Our Heart

Pentecost does not begin with movement, but with waiting. This sacred waiting creates space for us to love the Lord more deeply. As we love Him, we begin to discern His heart and see what He desires. As Luke 10:27 teaches, we are called to love God with all our heart. We love because He dwells within us, and His presence draws us closer to Him. In that closeness, our hearts align with His, and we begin to see the dreams that dwell in the heart of God.

Thanks to everyone who joined the national and continental fast “For God So Loved the Immigrant”. This sacred experience culminated with the gathering of 100 council leaders in Atlanta, GA, and we believe that the heart of our nation and of our government will move towards compassion and justice for our immigrant families. Now, we need you to continue to pray, believe and act with us!

Last week, during Holy Week, Mission Talk joined churches across the nation and throughout the continent in a sacred seven-day fast on behalf of immigrant families—an initiative of the “For God So Loved the Immigrant” campaign.

This consecrated time of fasting culminated in Atlanta, at a historic gathering of Pentecostal leaders convened by the Confraternidad de Entidades Pentecostales de las Americas, where more than 100 council leaders gathered in unity for the first time and presented their sacrifice before the Lord, lifting up fervent prayers and offering songs of worship unto His holy name.
