"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." — Matthew 28:19 First Baptist Montgomery is a community of believers whose goal is to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 to develop devoted disciples by Bringing people to Christ (evangelism), Building them up in Christ (discipleship), and Sending them out to expand Christ’s Kingdom (missions and ministry). The First Family meets together to hear relevant Biblical teaching, to worship the Almighty God, to build relationships with each other, and to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our church and our community. People who have real challenges and successes, real pain and excitement, real struggles and real victories. We invite you to come and worship with us!

Thank You, Lord, for this beautiful Sunday!

As we begin a new week, let’s remember to keep our focus on the Lord and seek His guidance in everything we do. May we follow His lead and allow Him to guide our steps each day.

We pray you all have a blessed week!

On this World Wide Communion Day, we worshiped the Lord through taking the Lord’s Supper and celebrating believer's baptism. We are thankful to have taken communion not only with our church family, but with all our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world as we remember our Savior’s sacrifice.

We pray you have a blessed week!

Episode 4 of the Equip First Montgomery podcast is available to watch on youtube
In today’s episode, Pastor Mark Bethea and Jay Spivey dive into the topic of what popular culture often refers to as the “Lost Gospels.”

They explain what these ancient texts actually are, how they came about, and whether they were intentionally left out of the Bible—or whether the idea of “lost gospels” is simply another piece of misinformation.

They also discuss why these texts should not undermine your confidence in the reliability of the Bible.
