This Sunday at 10:00 AM, we take another step together as we celebrate World Communion Sunday and Teaming with Tanzania Sunday! In the United Methodist Church, our connection reminds us that we are never simply a congregation gathered in one place; we are part of a worldwide family of faith.

Through the Alabama-West Florida Conference’s Teaming with Tanzania partnership, we have a tangible reminder that the body of Christ stretches across oceans and cultures. Please take a moment to hear from Rev. Jackson Sampson Ramadhan, a Wesley College (Mwanza, Tanzania) graduate, whose story captures the heart of this partnership!

Join our team! First United Methodist Church Montgomery is seeking a Director of Children's Ministry.

Do you love Jesus and Children's Ministry? Do you believe the church should be a place where every child discovers they are deeply loved, wonderfully created, and part of God’s story?

We’re looking for someone faithful, creative, relational, organized, and passionate about helping children experience God's love. Our Director of Children's Ministry will build relationships with children and families, create engaging opportunities for faith formation, and recruit and encourage volunteers. They’ll also work alongside clergy, staff, parents, and the wider church to create a welcoming community where every child can say, “I belong here.”

This is an opportunity to join a vibrant congregation and help shape the youngest generation of the church, not simply through programs, but by building a community where children can grow, wonder, ask questions, serve, and worship.

Interested? We’d love to hear from you! Share this post with someone who might be called to this ministry. Apply by sending a resume to [email protected]

Sunday was so special! Third graders took a next best step as they received their Bibles, our three-year-olds took a next best step in learning and worship with their new worship bags, and we all took a next best step through an incredible outpouring of supply donations for Friendship Mission!

Every step matters!
