Gulf States Conference of Seventh-day Adventists

We are comprised of the geographical territories of Alabama, Mississippi, and Northwest Florida.

Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons--the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit--make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for
everyone. When He

returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day. Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything--the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us--is a part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.

🌲 Get ready for the 2026 Southern Union Pathfinder Camporee!

The Southern Union Pathfinder Camporee is just around the corner, and we could not be more excited. On October 14-17, 2026, Pathfinders from all over the Southern Union will come to Camp Kulaqua for an experience of a lifetime!

Pathfinders will have the opportunity to learn what it means to be Deeply Rooted in Christ as our speaker Dr. Myron Edmonds helps us understand what it means to have a deeper connection with Jesus.

Pathfinders will have the opportunity to participate in incredible honors, amazing activities like pin trading, go carts, swimming, march and drill competitions, 5K race, tower of faith and so much more!

On Saturday, September 19, 2026, Pathfinders around the world will come together to celebrate 76 years of Pathfinder ministry under this year’s powerful theme: “Speak, Lord.”

Inspired by Samuel’s willingness to listen to God’s voice, this special Sabbath invites our young people—and all of us—to grow in a deeper, personal relationship with God and to respond when He calls.
