Here's your Friday Forward for April 10, 2026: As we continue on with Eastertide, there are things in which we are fearful of in our world. In John 20:19-31, we are connected with the disciples who were fearful when they saw Jesus and he said, "Peace be with you." We are living in a world that is full of "locked doors" due to the fear that we experience. The Rev. Terri Hord Owens, the General Minister and President of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), says that "Let us be the church we say we are". That does require us to meet people where they are as well. I hope that there is peace in your lives as we continue to break the cycle of fear in our world. In other news, the Disciples Women Retreat will be at Community Christian Church in Jefferson City next Friday and Saturday. Also, the Disciples Men Retreat will be at Shannondale with our brothers in the United Church of Christ on May 1. Let's continue to be in covenant with our wider Disciples Church family!
