Happy mother's day to all former St Mary's mothers. My St Mary's worship became regular about 15 years ago, when we lost my mother. At first I came to help St Mary's get over missing her love. But soon these former St Mary's mothers helped me survive.

Happy mothers day to all of St Mary's former mothers. Recent special "Mother" visitors made this a very holy day.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the St Mary’s mothers of the past. This is Shirley Malcom DeVaughn, St Mary’s most recent deceased mother. She served on our Vestry and held many leadership roles until the death of her husband Joe DeVaughn in 2007. She continued her Episcopalian worship with St Philips in Atlanta and later in Athens.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the St Mary’s mothers of the past. This is Millie Wooten, St Mary's founding mother who provided her home's attic for worship and our first alter. Her love and Episcopalian legacy continue to this day from Calvary to Camp Michal.

Happy Mother’s Day to all "former" St Mary’s mothers. To celebrate in years past we had a special worship service and used this space to remember deceased mothers. Some would say this lovely lady was St Mary’s founding mother. This pic is Louise Lewis McKenzie, taken about the same time formal Episcopal worship began in Montezuma about 70 years ago. A few years later, with the Wooten’s providing their attic space and Mrs Louise the music (and much much more), the St. Mary's worship mission began.

I have to share another of my St Mary's blessings at Calvary this morning. Father Richard has always been a blessing to us but this one was from an old St Mary's "friend" who attended there regularly for a period of time. She said St Mary's saved her Episcopal faith during some tough times for her at Calvary. Ironically Father Richard told us years ago that St Mary's originated with Calvary's help.

This was our tallest and most regular visitor at St Mary's. And an awesome lay reader!

I served this guy as an acolyte and he was still our longest serving priest at St Mary's.

This is a snippet from a St Mary's Easter Egg hunt about 35 years ago. You may notice we never did keep a perfect yard but this was long before somebody pushed the brick wall over.
