Good evening everybody! Sorry this FB posting is so late. I was out of town all day + had our Tuesday night Bible study class at 7:00 & just could not get to changing our sign until the darkness engulfed me! We are doing a fantastic class about our Lord's glory & our future life with Him in Heaven -- so I decided to put 1 of the many referenced verses on this week's sign. The sign's background light is pretty bright (& is better in real life) but I think it's still readable. What do you think? Should I repost a daylight pic 2moro? Blessings to everyone! ✝️ ⛪️ 🌻 🍨 😃

Hi everybody! Here is the last of my summer sign series on the Book of Proverbs. With Labor Day being up next on the calendar, I looked thru the Book for ones about hard work, working hard, etc. There are several to choose from but considering their length and other factors, this is the one that seemed to work the best. It's 88 ☀️ today but feels like 96 🥵 with the humidity so summer isn't quite over yet! Stay cool -- stay safe on the upcoming holiday -- and stay in contact with God's Word every day, OK?! Good evening! Here is this afternoon's sign change for the week that I'm finally getting posted: #12 in my Book of Proverbs summer sign series. Only 1 more to go! The "fear" in the verse refers, not to fear like that of being afraid of the monster under your bed at night!, but rather to stand in reverent awe before our God and to love and trust in Him. It's the whole of godly wisdom: the beginning, the middle and the end! I also would point out that the Book of Proverbs both begins (1:7) and ends (31:30b) with the "fear of the Lord." This is the motivating drive in a noble woman's life and this theme runs thru-out the Book. Our Lord's blessings to everyone! Have a GREAT week serving the Lord, OK?! ✝️ ⛪️ 🌻 🍨 😃

Good evening! We are almost done with our summer sign series on the Book of Proverbs. This sign is #11 of 13 signs and is from (like next week's sign will be from) the last chapter of the Book which gives us various attributes of a godly wife. Much of Chapter 31 is about how she clothes her family. The real beauty of her appearance, though, comes not from the materials she wears but from her inner qualities (i.e., the attitudes of the heart): strength, dignity, wisdom, etc. -- given to us in Verses 25-27. These verses and all of the Chapter's 31 verses are excellent texts for a church sign! The final verses of this final chapter are called an acrostic poem -- meaning each verse begins with a successive letter of the Hebrew alphabet. There are 22 letters in that alphabet and are written in this Chapter in alphabetical order from Verse 10 thru Verse 31 -- like if we were to write a poem in English with the 1st line starting with an "A", the 2nd line with a "B", the 3rd line with a "C", etc.; 22 letters / 22 verses / all in alphabetical order. So much for tonight's Bible study class! HA! God's blessings to everyone! Have a GREAT week! Our Lord is with you always! ✝️ ⛪️ 🌻 🍨 😃

Good evening everybody! I updated my sign late this afternoon but couldn't get it uploaded to FB until now. Too much going on, I guess. So here is another of King Solomon's proverbs -- summer sign series #10 of 13 -- evidently summer is approaching its conclusion for the year! I chose this Proverb with the hopes that all of our Dads and Moms are glad 🙂 and rejoicing 😄 and ecstatic 😁 to have us as their children! And I'm sure that they are! Let's do what we can to reinforce those emotions, OK?! God's blessings to you all and have a restful evening.🌛 It's been a long day ... ✝️⛪️🌻🍨😀

OK, everyone raise their hands if they have a joyful heart! Yup, you're either raising your hands or wanting to raise your hands! My sign this week ( #9 in my summer series of 13 on Proverbs) is a great reminder that, as children of our Heavenly Father, we have much to be joyful about! So we had our annual picnic yesterday with the theme of Standing on the Word of God -- sang "Rock of Ages" -- read a dozen Bible verses that refer to Christ as our "Rock / Stone / Cornerstone" etc. -- I gave everyone a quiz on the Books of the Bible -- and Lori and her husband (Raland) painted the Books of the Bible's names on 66 rocks that the attendees got to put in order in front of the church & around the corner -- Genesis thru Malachi on one side and Matthew thru Revelation on the other side. Plus the required supper afterward, of course! Everyone had a really GREAT 😄 time despite the thermometer telling us that it was 108 degrees outside! ✝️⛪️ 🥵 ☀️ 🍦

Good evening🌛 again everyone! Here is #8 of 13 in my summer sign series on the Book of Proverbs. The summer is 2/3 done already! I think the sun 🌞 is going around the Earth 🌎 faster and faster every day! Ha! It'll quickly be Christmas 🎅 and snow ❄️ shoveling time! And with regard to my signage, yes, we need to keep our priorities on track and be focused on what God wants versus what we and the world want! Rest easy tonight -- God's blessings to everybody! ✝️⛪️🌻🍨😀
