Judy's birthday blessing:
Judy,
You were one of the first people to truly see me.
Not just who I was on the outside,
but something deeper… something worth calling out.
And I know I’m not the only one.
You have spent your life seeing people—
the overlooked, the hurting, the ones on the edge—
and you didn’t just notice them…
you moved toward them.
You fought for the underdog.
You made space where there was none.
You carried love into places most people avoid—
classrooms, living rooms, recovery rooms, jail cells—
and somehow, you made each one feel like holy ground.
You didn’t wait for a platform.
You made ministry wherever you stood.
And even through your own trials,
through pain, through injury, through setbacks—
you kept going.
Because love kept going in you.
Judy, you are love made visible.
Not perfect love, but persistent love.
Fighting love. Showing-up love. Staying love.
May you now receive
even a small portion
of what you have given away so freely.
May you feel seen
the way you have seen others.
May you feel held
the way you have held so many.
And may you know—deep in your bones—
that your life has mattered.
More than you will ever fully understand.
We are part of your legacy.
And we are so grateful.
Amen.
