FRIDAY, JUNE 5 12 noon to 2 pm FIRST FRIDAY CLOTHES COLLECTION First UMC, Salinas now has a clothes closet at the East Salinas UMC, serving low income neighbors and a nearby unsheltered community. They will soon be partnering with Refresh Start Shower Ministry as well. They can now receive women's and children's clothing as well as men's. The most requested items are underwear (men's briefs, tee shirts, women's bras and panties), crew socks - preferably white but not no-show socks, denim pants, soft jackets, hoodies, shoes - flat heels, preferably sport shoes, baseball caps and knit beanies, gloves. Donations will be delivered Friday afternoon, June 5.

SUNDAY, APRIL 20 EASTER SUNDAY WORSHIP AND CELEBRATIONS

11:30 am Worship on this Easter Sunday will be led by Pastor Cisco, youth and young adults of our congregation and Jo Ann Chinn. Pastor Cisco's message is "Because He Lives" and his scripture is Luke 24:1-12. On this Youth Sunday our young people will be represented by Norma Tulua, Timote Tulua, Siaosi Tulua, Alyanna Tulua and Sebastian Perez-Diaz. The Tulua grandchildren will share special music and Nancy Jones will provide Prelude, Postlude and worship music.

Children will be dismissed to Sunday School following the Special Music, for Easter stories and activities led by Rev. Dawn Boyd, Rev. Alice Ann Glenn and Sophia Perez-Diaz. Sunday School will be held in the Education Building.

Our Youth and Young Adults will set up and supervise MUMC's traditional Easter Egg Hunt, which will follow worship and Sunday School. The Easter Egg Hunt will be in the courtyard area. We are all invited to watch the fun of finding eggs filled with candy or other treats. (If you have not delivered your donation of filled plastic eggs or 'fillings' for the eggs we have on hand, please arrive early for worship so our youth can add your donations in preparation for the Easter Egg Hunt. There will be a basket in the narthex for your donations. We have eggs, but candy, coins, stickers, tiny toys will be appreciated and used for the Hunt.)

Easter Brunch in Fellowship Hall is pot luck not a planned menu. Nancy Jones is coordinating the brunch and asks us to provide a main dish, salad, side dish (potatoes, rice, vegetables, etc.) or dessert to share. ALL ARE INVITED.
