北アメリカの禅センターの友人を通して紹介されたエミール氏。
エール大学の関係で７月に来日する予定で、日本国内で気候変動に仏教や寺院がどう向き合っているかという研究でいらっしゃいます。

今回は、英語が必須になるため親しくさせて頂いている九州の僧侶に相談をさせて頂いておりますが、もしSDGsの関係など、環境問題に取り組んでいるという僧侶の方やお寺があれば教えて頂けたら幸いです。

I'm happy that Rocky Mountain Zen is meeting Seigaku and Tosei this week. It was great to hear Tosei's experience as a lay pracitioner and a monk during all these years.

Zoom is preceived qutie diffently in Canada where people live physically isolated because of its geogprahic condition. But because of its vastness and acceptance of virtual space to keep practice happening, I have been able to share the practice over zoom.

California and many others states in the US are blessed with the favorrable geographical conditions that allow many to gather physically and practice together regularly though we know there are people who have hard time accessing the Zen centers in a remote place.

Now, with Mokusho in Quebec, stepping up to initiate the priest formation process, I thought it might be good to ask my students and friends who have been walking on this path for many years.
