Heart of Compassion provides many services as part of its mission to demonstrate love, both spiritually and physically, through the distribution of life essentials for the total person. We distribute to 100 organizations such as food banks, shelters, veterans, seniors, city and school programs throughout the Southern California area. We do this by providing fresh fruits, vegetables, and other nutr

itional foods, and, when available, furniture and clothing to the less fortunate. provided $33.3 million dollars of food and merchandise all at no cost. Family Living classes

The success of Heart of Compassion has always depended on the goodness of others and the faithfulness of God. Because of God's faithfulness, despite the many weeks when we despaired of attaining enough food to distribute, we always did. And, without the dedication of our devoted volunteers most of our efforts on behalf of the needy could never have happened. We could never repay the hundreds of volunteers required to fulfill our mission. Their gift of time and energy continues to be a major blessing to many. As evident from our history, HOC wasn't planned; it slowly developed. We weren't up all night talking about what we could do if only we had the funds. Nevertheless, we have reached a pivotal time in our development. The fact is: We need YOUR help to continue!

Our Story
