In a year like ours ... we wonder how we could have joy ... Christmas as usual in the midst of challenges of health, livelihood and our sense of security? We are encouraged to pour out our troubles and distress

"Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress." - Psalm 107:6

In our trouble, pain God want us to draw near to Him to experience His comfort and assurance.

God spoke directly to His people by the prophet Isaiah ...

"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel(God is with us)." - Isaiah 7:14

He is with us! .... "fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10

The promise of God are astonishing. They are founded on the promises of Immanuel foretold by the prophet, who assures our God is with us.

Christmas has come to us ... God is with us!
