Arthur leads us through the chapters of Matthew 24 and 25 where Jesus is answering the question of "When are you coming back?" with a series of parables that emphasize the need for us to be ready for his return no matter when it comes. An interesting phrase that occurs tells us that it will not be right away, but will take some time. Will we be productive with what God has given us during that time? Will our lamps be shining brightly when he returns? Do we recognize how that helping others is actually loving Jesus? Important questions with eternal consequences. Join us!

Have you ever planned a wedding? There is the date, the reception after, invitations to send out, and hopefully, the people will show up. We have a story where this did not happen. Everything was prepared and all the people were invited but no one showed up. The King sent for anyone and everyone that could be found to be brought into the wedding feast, but there was one that did not wear the wedding cloths. Curtis dives into this concept and how we have been given the clothes to wear and have the invitation to come to the feast. Will you join in and participate, or do we think we are better than the cloths that Jesus can give? Join us as we learn more behind this story.

Keeping up appearances. We love to show others what we are on the outside. But what about what is hidden? Jesus in Matthew 23 explains the dangers of not cleaning the inside. We use Christianity as a checklist, and so did the Pharisees. Did we attend enough, did we serve enough, did we say the right thing or avoid the wrong people? It's a checklist but Christ did not give us a checklist. In all we do Christ grieves for us. He longs to have us as a whole not in part. The question comes down to will we let him make us real? Matthew 20 starts with a story about a landowner who hired some workers to work in his vineyard. He hired them early in the morning and when he saw he needed more went out an hired more workers about three hours later. This continued throughout the day until the last hour of the day and hired the last bunch. When they were paid they all received the same amount for the entire day.
We think about this and say how is this fair? We think some worked all day and some did not work but one hour THIS IS NOT FAIR. Curtis explores this concept and how God's generosity is so vast we can't understand it. But in the middle of this there is a section that states - "No one wanted to hire us". What a heart retching statement. Join us as we explore this and how we can be hands for God's love.

Happy Mother's Day! Dan leads our thoughts on the lessons our mothers taught us. How they carry responsibilities that seldom get recognized. How they build more than home. How there are no perfect moms and they need grace. Many of us owe our Christian upbringing to the examples of our mothers. Thank you God for mothers!

We often look at yourselves when we are thinking about God. What an interesting concept. But the one thing we continue to do is use the eyes we have to look at others and around at our world. Arthur brings us an interesting concept that we all know, but rarely think about - Looking at things with HIS eyes. How does Christ look at others? We understand the parables, we admire His teachings, but we often don't look with clarity, humility, and childlike trust, as Christ would. Join us as Arthur leads us through a lesson asking our Lord to open our eyes.

"Who Missed Easter?" Dan draws out lessons from the people that missed the resurrection of Christ. The people who should have known, the followers who had been told, the world that was distracted by other things. A lingering question arises, "Have I missed the Resurrected Jesus Christ?" Join us this Easter celebration.
