We are still in our 13-week series on God's Love in the Old Testament.
For the last couple of weeks, we have been talking about Moses and the Red Sea and Joshua at the Walls of Jericho. God loves us so much that He cares for us and wants to provide for us. He goes ahead and makes a way; all we have to do is trust in Him.
This week, we are going to be talking about David and Goliath. You and I are God’s special people. David trusted God and knew that God believed in him even when no one else did. We have a God who loves us and promises to protect us, He will never leave us. We can overcome our enemy, just as David beat Goliath. We have to trust Him and know that His love never fails.

Week 4 of our 13-week series on God's love revealed through all the stories between the garden and the cross.
This week we will be talking about Joseph's story. Joseph was mistreated by the people closest to him for a long time. He was thrown out of his house and thrown into prison. God doesn't cause bad things to happen, but we live in a sin-filled world where bad things happen. Joseph chose to trust and obey God instead of getting mad at God. He stayed faithful in everything he went through, even though he didn't know what would happen.

We are in the second week of the new series, God's Love in the Old Testament! This week we will take a closer look into why God chose Noah to build the Ark.
Last week we talked about the perfect world that God created for us. He never desired for the world to be an evil place. The world and people became so mean and evil that it made God sad. God loves us so much that He couldn't allow sin to continue to destroy the world, the people, and all future generations. So, He chose a righteous man to build an Ark to save all who obeyed Him. At this time, it was only Noah, his family, and the animals.
So now we can look and see that it wasn't the flood that destroyed people and the earth; It was sin. God loves us so much that even though sin has to be judged, He will always provide a way of escape so that we can escape judgment.

We are headed into a new series, God's Love in the Old Testament! Over the next 13 weeks, we will be walking through the major stories of the Old Testament, revealing God's love and redemption plan through every story.
-
To kick off, The Garden is where we begin. God loves us so much that He created the most beautiful and perfect world for us to live and be happy. He created man in His image and breathed life into them Because He wanted a relationship with us. God didn't get angry when sin entered the world and kicked them out to be mean. He did this out of love. He knew that the only way for sin to be removed was to give a perfect sacrifice.

Week Four: Jesus Paid it All - There is nothing that Jesus didn't pay for us on the cross.
That may be hard to wrap our heads around, so let's look at all that the cross made available for us.
He died so that EVERYONE could know Him and be forgiven of their sins.
He died so we can have a relationship with Him here on earth.
He died so we can receive the gift of eternal life through Salvation.
He died so we can receive healing. Jesus bore our grief and carried our diseases.
Then lastly, He died so we can have power over our thoughts. Jesus had a crown of thorns put on His head that pierced Him. Now we can renew our thinking and take our thoughts captive.
He paid it all because of how much He loves us.

For our third week of the Salvation series, we will be talking about being washed clean! Sin makes us stinky and dirty, but we can be washed clean with salvation.
Once we ask Jesus into our hearts, there is another step to walking out our salvation: Water Baptism. Water baptism is to be immersed in Water. Jesus commanded that we be Water Baptized, that He got Baptized Himself (Matthew 3:13-17 & Matt. 28:18-20). When we get Water Baptized, we declare our love and loyalty to Him in front of others.
Being Water Baptized is important so we can walk in all that Jesus has for us.

Ressurection Sunday!
This week we will be diving into the Blood of Jesus.
Through the Blood, our debt is paid, we are justified, forgiven, spared from God’s wrath, healed, and spiritually alive. The Blood of Jesus is a covenant promise to us.
There is overcoming power in the Blood. Jesus died on the cross, gave us the power over sin and a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Applying the Blood in our lives every day is very important. We can do this with prayer and taking communion.
Matthew 26:17-30 The Last Supper
Communion is a symbol using crackers and juice to represent the body of Christ broken for us and the Blood of Jesus shed for us. Communion can be taken anytime and anywhere with honor. We take it to remember Jesus’ sacrifice.

Week One: What is Sin?
We have an enemy after our souls who sneak into our lives and feed us lies. Sin is never from God. God is good and only does good. Sin separates us from God and causes us to fall and get stuck in the enemy's trap. God cannot associate with sin.
He wants a relationship with us and doesn’t want to be separated from us. When sin entered the world, and we were separated from God, He came up with a rescue plan so that we could be close to Him again.
He has created us to be free.
