A just war is far better, in the long run, for humanity's soul, than an unjust peace. That is at least the foundational principle of just war theory. On this Memorial Day we bring our theological lens to the topic of war, asking our souls how they are faring amidst the present days warmongering.

Our service will be held at 10am in our Sanctuary and live-streamed on YouTube and Facebook Live. Connection Café follows in Fletcher Hall. All are welcome!

Join us this Sunday for our Coming of Age service! The Coming of Age (COA) program was offered to our ninth and tenth-graders and provides an engaging and structured environment for our youth to explore significant issues at this transitional stage of life - the Coming of Age lessons provide a Rite of Passage experience that welcomes and affirms youth as they embark on their journey toward young adulthood. We will welcome our youth, along with their mentors, who will share their credos with the congregation.

PORCHFEST MAP UPDATE!

Montclair… y’all absolutely broke the app 😂🩷

We received such an overwhelming amount of downloads and traffic for Porchfest that the system got overloaded yesterday. Honestly, we can’t thank you enough for the support and excitement surrounding year two of this festival. The growth has been unbelievable.

The good news is the issue has been fixed and the app is back up and running. Make sure to do an update once it’s published! But we also heard everyone loud and clear — not everybody wants to or can download an app, and we completely understand that. So for the convenience of everyone attending, you can now access the Porchfest schedule and interactive Google Map directly on the website as well.

The Montclair NAACP Membership Drive Luncheon takes place Saturday, May 16th from noon to 3pm. It’s a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate our community, and support one of the most impactful civil rights organizations in the country. The NAACP's work in advocacy, education, and justice touches countless lives, and events like this one make that work possible.
