Join us for our annual Blessing of the Animals, celebrating the special bonds we share with our beloved animal companions. Bring your dogs, cats, birds, bearded dragons, and other well-behaved animals (on a leash) to receive a blessing.

We’ll also honor the lives of beloved pets who are no longer with us. Bring a photo or memento of your pet to place on our Legacy of Love bulletin board by the chancel.

After worship, we’ll share a special slideshow featuring the pets of our congregation, along with treats for pets and humans alike in the Assembly Room. In the Guild Room, Jade Holmgren and Roxanne Kent will share a presentation about their trip to Tbilisi, Georgia, for the Peace Project.

Join us for the second of a four-part worship series from the Racial Justice Ministry Team, exploring how we can draw the circle wider in our worship. This week, we’ll celebrate World Communion Sunday with an expansive celebration of Communion and a brief reflection from Rev. Katrina.

After worship, stay for a special 2nd Hour discussion with Dr. Sharon Fennema, worship leader and designer. We’ll hear more about the intentions behind the worship services in the series so far and reflect together on how these practices can move us toward racial justice. All are welcome, including those who may be wrestling with these practices.

As people around the world celebrate Communion as an act of radical unity, we invite you to bring a bread that reflects your heritage, culture, or upbringing to share during Communion.

Please bring your bread to the Communion Table in the Sanctuary by 9:45 AM.

Curious about Union or considering membership? Stay after worship for an information session about our church, denomination, governance, ways to get involved, and what membership looks like. Can’t make it? Contact Rev. Katrina to find another time to connect.

This Sunday, we welcome Rev. Mia McClain, an artist-turned-pastor, published songwriter, and liturgical designer who serves as Senior Pastor of Riverside Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., where she is the first African American and the first woman to lead the congregation in its 165-year history.

Drawing on the Israelites’ tabernacle worship in Exodus, Rev. Mia will explore the possibilities of worship in the wilderness and what it might teach us about creating sacred space wherever we are.

Who is God and how do we encounter the Divine?

Wrestling with who – or what – God is has led Carlos through an exploration of scripture and personal reflection. Hear what he’s uncovered, from Exodus, Luke’s Gospel, his own life and beyond, about the nature of God, and our relationship to Her.

🎶 Special music from the Oostings and friends.

“May Dolly’s world inspire our own…”

Today, we remember Dolly Parton and the lessons she shared with the world by looking back at our special “The Gospel According to Dolly Parton” service earlier this year.

May her music, her generosity, and her unwavering commitment to kindness continue to inspire us all.
