Our Bishop, David Toups, recently recognized young people whose leadership, character, responsibility, service, and commitment to the faith stand out among their peers. We are proud that two of our Holy Trinity teens were among those honored.

Congratulations to all of the nominees and award recipients, and especially to our Holy Trinity family:

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Joshua Zamora โ€” St. Timothy Nominee, Outstanding Young Man

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Vivienne Cortez โ€” Recipient of the St. Timothy Award, Outstanding Young Woman

โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ Youth Minister Melissa Koebcke โ€” Recipient of the โ€œFor Youth & Godโ€ Award

We would also like to recognize Mr. Bradford Downs for his nomination. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

May God continue to bless these outstanding young men and women as they answer His call and serve His Church.

This weekend at our diocesan youth convention, I found myself looking at hundreds of young people, including my own son, and wondering how many are fighting battles nobody sees.

We tell them; you gotta be smarter! Be stronger! Be faster! Be more successful! Be more impressive! And many are exhausted. Not because theyโ€™re lazy, because theyโ€™re carrying a weight no young heart was ever meant to carry.

Last evening, I walked the empty halls of a hotel with my wife Heather. And reminding myself that one day all these kids will forget many of the games, grades, awards, and accomplishments that seem so important right now. But, they will never forget how you made them feel.

They will never forget whether home was the place where they had to earn love or the place where they received it. The world is already teaching our children that their value comes from performance. Please donโ€™t help it. And I speak humbly on this even to myself: Tell them they are loved on their worst day. Tell them they are loved when they fail. Tell them they are loved when they disappoint you. Tell them they are loved when life doesnโ€™t go according to plan.

Because someday, when the trophies are boxed up and the achievements have faded, one question will remain in the depths of their heart: โ€œWas I loved?โ€

And the answer to that question will shape far more of their life than any success ever will. May the Holy Spirit fill us with the grace to do what He tells us to do.

This weekend, we celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, honoring the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

Children who have received their First Holy Communion are invited to participate in our Corpus Christi Procession at the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday. Children are encouraged to wear their First Communion attire and bring a basket of rose petals to scatter before the Blessed Sacrament during the procession.

This beautiful tradition is a wonderful opportunity for our young parishioners to publicly witness their faith and honor Our Lord in the Eucharist.

We look forward to celebrating this special feast together as a parish family. โœ๏ธ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ™

On May 31st, our parish family joyfully welcomed a visit from Father Julius Agah as we celebrated Mass for the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity.

Many parishioners fondly remembered Father Julius, who faithfully served our community during the Lenten Season of 2024 while Father Khanh was on sabbatical. It was a blessing to have him return and celebrate this special feast day with us. Father Julius will return to Nigeria at the end of the month. Please keep him in your prayers.

Following Mass, the festivities continued at **Summerfest 2026**, where our church community came together for a day filled with faith, fellowship, and fun! Families and friends enjoyed:

๐ŸŽฏ Games and activities for all ages
๐Ÿ” Delicious food and refreshments
๐Ÿ›๏ธ Local craft vendors
๐ŸŽ‰ Bingo excitement
๐ŸŽ Silent auction treasures
๐Ÿ˜Š Great fellowship and community spirit

A special thank you to Mrs. Jayla Mohr and the entire Summerfest Committee of dedicated volunteers whose hard work, planning, and countless hours of service made this event possible. Your commitment to our parish community created a day of joy, fellowship, and lasting memories for everyone in attendance.

We also extend our gratitude to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, sponsored, and supported Summerfest 2026. Events like these remind us of the blessings of belonging to a vibrant parish family united in faith and fellowship.
